Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?

Guess I'll spend my next days off getting my Yoke etc. set back up.
My Index finally shipped so it's all coming together nicely.
Hopefully the VR on Index will go smooth.

I'll probably play mostly outside of VR but still enjoy the VR experience from time to time with X-Plane.

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?

Just saw a video on this on medium to high setting and it looks just as good. So I’m officially sold. Any recommendations on a joystick/yoke for a beginner/casual? Thinking of sticking with a controller to start, but will definitely upgrade later on

Haven't really shopped for many but I use the Saitek Pro Flight system.
Without the rudders you can get for about 170.00.

I little cheaper at around 130 you can get the CH FlightSim 20-Button USB Yoke

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?

I’ve played every MFS since ‘98 and I just can’t wait until this is released in just over a week. I’ve got my new computer ready, new peripherals, work off, and been getting back into FSX online to prepare. This new edition looks simply stunning. I never thought Microsoft was going to revive this franchise, especially after the Flight fiasco, but here we are. The king of simulation is back.

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?

Lol....Never realized how much 3rd-party support this received. Hype level 10!

The highly-anticipated Microsoft Flight Simulator hasn’t taken off just yet, but third-party developers are already announcing the first add-ons.

Those unfamiliar with the Flight Sim community may not know that one of its main drivers are third-party add-ons, with hundreds of developers across the world working tirelessly to model new aircraft, airports, scenery, and tools with a level of precision and complexity that often surpasses that of the main games.

Over the past few days, several developers have announced specific add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, or at least that they intend to wok on the title.

https://twinfinite.net/2020/08/micro...party-add-ons/

PMDG announced that it’ll bring its 737, 747, 777, and DC6 to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The first will be the 737, which you can see in the screenshots below.
Spoiler

DC Designs announced that its Grumman F-14A/D Tomcat package will be released for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Spoiler

Flightbeam Studios announced that its first airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be KDEN (Denver International Airport).

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?

Can only imagine this on Xbox Series X with a controller...simplified controls obviously, but so much fun to fly around
