Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Trying to explain anything that has to do with technology to someone who doesn't know much if anything about technology.

I have a varying level of tolerance/patience depending on the situation and moreso how I feel at that point in time.

However, sometimes it gets frustrating trying to explain some things to people who are especially quick to write off anything that has to do with technology the second anything goes wrong, acting like everything should be as easy as a snap of their finger and it works with 0 problems ever.

Its 2021 and I'm still explaining to family members of mine the simplest things (simple to me) like what the power button icon looks like, what the play/pause, stop, rr, ff buttons look like. Or how to connect something using bluetooth. And mostly relevant to the present day, I'm explaining so many different features on Zoom to people, and I don't even use Zoom outside of when someone asks me to help them with it (spoiler, I google their question and just do whatever the Zoom site says to do).

Many times I feel like tech support lol. Except it's harder for me since I'm a visual person and I often work using trial and error, so I have to physically see some things to really get a feel for how it works, how it should work, how to avoid problems, and how to explain things to people.

trying to clip the nail on a pinkie toe.
I wonder if an amputation can be an elective surgery or if there has to be a valid need for removing it.
I mean, do you actually need it for some reason like balance or equilibrium?

Having a beanbag chair split wide open in your living room. And its those tiny styrofoam balls like you see inside snowglobes.

Just make sure you don't break open the lava lamp.

I think mancards have gone the way of library cards.

The toes themselves may be useful, but the nails are pretty useless
