If I feel like getting a buffalo or BBQ chicken pizza or something then I'll use ranch. However I basically only eat cheese pizza so red pepper and, depending on the quality of the sauce a little salt/pepper and I'm good.

I don't know if it's uncommon anymore or a flagrant foul or anything, but I also de-grease the top of my cheese pizza if there's an egregious amount.

If you got add stuff to your pizza or degrease it, then you just need to find another pizza spot. I'm not paying all that money just to add stuff to it to make it taste good. If I got to do something to it, then I will just find another spot to eat from. That is with any food.

I would just chalk it up to yep, this cook at this location can't cook, time to check out a new location. The cook can make or break a place. I base my eating locations on the cook not so much the name of the place.

We must have grown up in 2 very different places. Everyone I grew up with uses ranch with everything. So does my wife.

I wouldn't want the cook adding ranch to my pizza beforehand. That'd defeat the delicious effect of the cool dressing on hot pizza.

I started doing it in high school (a good place to pick up bad habits now that I look back at it) since we had a pizza line and then a regular lunch line. The pizza line always had ranch since there was I think a couple leafs of lettuce to constitute a "salad." The ranch was mainly used for bread sticks, though.

Looking back I can't believe how unhealthy that meal plan was.

I eat ranch with pizza occasionally. Mainly just when it's either a store bought pizza or just a pepperoni pizza. I don't really like Ranch on much else though, especially not salads.

I will occasionally dip my steak in steak sauce. Even if it is seasoned well and perfectly cooked. I sometimes just like to have a dip as a complementary taste. Same thing with Roast and Potatoes and Heinz 57. My wife asks if it doesn't taste good or something, but yeah it does taste good. I just like to mix it up every now and then. Plus, Heinz 57 on Roast goes together like peanut butter and jelly. So good.

I've dipped some pizza in ranch before, but it's pretty rare.

Dipping wings in ranch is an occasional thing too.

Hell no to ranch on steak though. I don't even eat it with steak sauce.
