Unnecessary correction because it's a common saying and everyone knows what is actually happening, but the point remains. People are going to see their breath, get curious about their masks, then realize after a google search that the cloth mask they bought off of etsy hardly does anything to stop the spread.

Doesn't matter what kind of mask you're wearing, in cold weather you will be able to see your breath because if masks didn't allow air out (or in) you'd suffocate while wearing it. The mask isn't meant to stop your breath, it's meant to provide a barrier to make it less easy for the virus to get into you airway from outside or prevent the virus from spreading as far from the exhalations of an infected person.

It sure feels like it. All I said is that I think when people see their breath this winter that they're going to get curious and do a Google search and see that their masks don't protect them from spreading stuff like they think it does. Way too many people are walking around with masks that are inefficient because they simply don't know any better.

Yeah I'm thinking those that are wearing masks understand how it works and that they are breathable and therefore you'll be able to see your breath in colder weather.

My guess is that people who believe they will suffocate by wearing a mask because they can't breathe, are ones who are refusing to wear them in the first place.

Actually if a mask stops the water molecules, you shouldn't see much if any of your breath. The water is what makes the fog from the warm breath and the air being below the dew point.


If you have a proper mask on, it stops the water molecules.



Who needs a science lesson about masks now? ..... don't take it personal, but tired of some people in this thread
