NCAA Y9 Off

• Minnesota fans are excited to have Jordan Kroeger as their new head coach. Kroeger was pretty successful in his 2 years at Uconn but is ready to start something new in the B1G. Minnesota is not an extremely historic team but at its peak they were a solid defensive team with a bruising rushing offense. This team isn't quite there yet but with Kroeger calling the shots you can expect Minnesota to quickly move back in that direction. This team is up against alot of top tier teams including an annual rivalry with the Michigan Wolverines, a team that Uconn defeated 17-16 earlier in the year.

• Oregon State proudly welcomes Jay Hogan as their new man. Hogan has led ECU to consecutive top 25 finishes and hopes to get OSU to that level immediately. This is a step up for both parties but Hogan will have to adjust to a less talented roster. He will see the most noticeable difference at QB unless if there is a hidden gem in this recruiting class. The big game against Oregon will have alot of talk surrounding it because this defensive scheme matches up against Oregons attack. Beaver fans are elated.

MACK IS BACK

The 2016 Heisman Winner has announced that he will return for his senior year with USF. Mack publicly made statements saying that he wasn't even considering leaving but the media and fans still thought he might leave but Mack never entered his name and will lead the Bulls for 1 more season. With the majority of their players back including most of their stars, USF will be a legitimate contender this season to run the table and possibly even slip into the national title game.

UCF said goodbye to their star WR, Tre'Quan Smith. Smith was drafted in the 3rd of the NFL draft. Smith left after his RS sophomore year. He won the Biletnikoff award his RS freshman year but had better numbers his sophomore year. He finished his career at UCF with 147 rec, 2,562 yards and 23 TD's.

SIGNING DAY

As recruiting has finally come to an end for this 2017 class the final recruiting rankings are in. The Michigan Wolverines have the top class of 2017 with a class headlined by 4 4* Cornerbacks, 2 4* DLinemen, and 2 4* OLinemen, and 2 4* Runningbacks. The depth of this class has Michigan in prime position to go after more top tier players in the near future because they will have very few gaps to fill. They will be a force in the B1G when this class takes the team.

The rest of the top 20 is fairly balanced among the power conferences. Oklahoma, Oregon, and Ohio State at 2-4 all have very similar classes to the Wolverines but with a little more star power on the top end. USF at #12 is the only nonpower conference school in the top 20 with a class led by the #1 RB in the country in Brennan Williams.

The User Classes are as varied as they 've ever been this year. Every class is fairly balanced in terms of talent but determining these will ultimately be identified by the gems vs busts and the games on the field. USF leads the way at #12.

NCAA Y10 W2

Houston upsets #10 Oklahoma State on the road and jumps to #21 behind a great offense. Houston has alot of talent on that offense and they showcased their skills in a big week 1 matchup. Harrell has brought some of that Texas Tech passing game to Houston and the results are showing up in his second season with the program.

#2 FSU escapes a near upset against UCF winning 45-42 but looses star RB Davin Cook for 11 weeks with a broken ankle.

LSU RB Leonard Fournette is making his case for the Heisman after a big win against USF.

NCAA Y2 W3

Minnesota is hoping to go 3-0 this week against UCF which would put them 1 win away from their win total from last year. Coach Kroeger is already making a name for himself in the B1G with his fast start with the struggling Gophers and his upset win a year ago against Michigan. UCF is hoping to avoid an 0-2 start and get back rolling with their hopes to get back to a BCS bowl.

Another Head Coach with a new team, Jay Hogan in Oregon State, will be getting his first taste of the Pac 12 hosting #6 USC. The Beavers have had a slow but are hoping to get things turned around with their home crowd behind them. The Beavers have pulled off a few upsets against USC in the past 15 years but this one could be tough.

Nick Chubbs is the latest addition to the Heisman conversation after a 200 yard game against rival South Carolina. Chubbs and Fournette could be head to head in this race throughout the year.

NCAA Y10 W4

Thursday Night action kicked off with 2-1 Minnesota knocking knocking off #13 Ohio State. The Buckeyes were outplayed for most of the game and the Gophers held on late to win. Coach Kroeger continues to be one of the hottest stories in college football as an up and coming coach.

Big game in the ACC as another first year coach is looking to do the unthinkable. 2-0 North Carolina is going into Death Valley to take on #1 Clemson. UNC has the talent to pull off this upset but Clemson is on a mission after being 1 game away from a National Title last year.

News out of the AAC Conference is that true freshman Brennan Williams, last years #1 recruit at HB, will remove his redshirt and play along side Marlon Mack, last years Heisman trophy winner. The USF Bulls looking to change things up after thier 0-2 start with a new starting QB as well.
