1 LSU vs 2 MIAMI
1st
LSU starts the game with the ball and Cooks freshman jitters show up on the very first play as he throws an interception right to Woods. Miami goes straight to the power run game that theyve been missing for the last 10 weeks with Ross out, but he picked up where he left off as the best running back in football as Miami goes up 7-0 quick. Canes get it back and mix in some run and pass and Graves who never runs makes one of the shiftiest 15 yards run ever for a td. 14-0. Cook finally gets hot and connects on 3 straight passes of 15+ and the Tigers are on the board. 14-7
2nd
Canes stall and Cook throws another pick, this time deep to the other Safety Wright. Canes move it and Ross gets his 2nd td. 21-7. Cook finds Garner on a dime in heavy coverage but he drops it, its tipped in the air, and Beard the Miami corner catches it out of the air. Both teams fail to score before the half LSU until LSU finally catches a break and gets a fg. 21-10 half.
3rd
Miami starts the half with a huge mistake as Graves throws a pick to Campbell the star LB for LSU. Tigers get stopped but go for it on 4th and convert. They get stopped again in the redzone and take the 3. 21-13. Canes open up the pass game fully and work it down quick before Ross gets a 3rd td. 28-13. Cook trying to make a big play throws a bad pass to Fuqua and Beard gets his 2nd int.
4th
Miami does manage only a fg with the short field and LSU gets their best drive of the game punching it in from the 1 but fail the 2pt. 31-19. Canes stall again with 3:22 left. Cook moves it again and Forte powers his way in for the td, followed by a 2pt also to Forte. 31-27. UM recovers the onside kick with 1:36 left. LSU gets Miami to a 3rd down but Graves hits Tidwell in one on one coverage and seals the game. Canes beat LSU for a second time this year and take the crown as the best team in college football.
