Re: RIVALS 24-25

1 OKLAHOMA vs 8 TEXAS
Red River Shootout

1st
OU gets ball first and had about as flawless an opening drive as it gets. A holding penalty set them back in the redzone but Brown hit Holt for the freshman to freshman td. 7-0. OU holds and gets another impressive drive for a 14-0 lead. Texas throws an int and the momentum is thumping for OU.

2nd
Texas struggles to get their offense going and a couple more ints dont help. OU however doesnt take advantage on their end. A couple of drops and bad sacks keep the score at 14-0. Texas gets a huge 60yd pass to Worthy eventually leading to their first score of the game as the OU secondary began to show their weaknesses. Texas hits a slant to OMeire the SR and make it 14-7. OU tries to see if they can get a quick score before the half but just like last years B12 Championship, the aggressive move costs them points. Texas gets a completion and fg making it 14-10 going into the half.

3rd
Texas gets the ball first and with a slight shift in momentum they keep the pressure on the OU secondary and it pays off. A 75 yd drive ends in a 10 yd pass to Hines and the first Texas lead. 17-14. OU's offense begins to buckle and Brown throws a couple of ints trying to go over the top. As the momentum fully shifts going into the 4th you can see the game leaning towards Texas as Worthy dominates the OU defense, but OU cant get the ball to Watkins.

4th
Texas hits Worthy on an 11yd in and a 24-14 lead. OU has never looked more out of a game. Coach J had Malone warm up as Brown had 4 ints but he changed his mind and trusted in Leon to finish the game. No luck. Brown's final pass was int #5 and he was yanked after Texas went up 31-14. Biggest win in the rivalry for Texas and first win streak for Arch as it is 2 straight. OU will hope to see Texas again in December but with the way this secondary has looked thats not a sure thing.

Worthy was the best player on the field hands down. IF theres a rematch in December OU has to find away to stop him or it will be 3 straight

Re: RIVALS 24-25

WEEK 7

-----------------

**** GOTW ****
2 ARIZONA ST vs 4 OREGON

College Gameday is back out west but this time in the desert. Undefeated Arizona State will host #4 Oregon in what could be a shoutout. This is the biggest game of the week ranking wise but also the only Blockbuster game as well so dont make plans for Saturday night. Arizona State was off to hot start last year and got as high as #1 before Oregon knocked them off. They are hoping that history doesnt repeat itself. The Sun Devils have one of, if not the best RB in the country in Trayanum but its also been Daniel Ngata, the speedy backup who has ASU with the #8 rushing offense in the country. They have explosive talent at the WR position as well so its tough to focus completely on the run. With a young QB taking the helm and tons of talent around him the only question is can this oline give the offense enough of a push to have a chance. Oregon's defense has been the story all year and they dont have any fear playing anybody. If the secondary continues to play at a high level it will be a dogfight. ASU has a tough LB core but their Dline hasnt been tested. Oregon could have their coming out party for Benson this week unless if the LBs shut him down by themselves, because the dline is not very good. Make Oregon has had 4 games decided by one score and I think this will be number 5. IF its close I think ASU steals one late.

Pre: ASU 38 ORE 34

Pre: OU 28 TEX 21 - TEX 31 OU 14
🟢 Pre: ORE 27 TEX 24 - ORE 27 TEX 24
Pre: BAMA 33 UGA 31 - UGA 26 BAMA 22

🟢 Pre: TEX 45 MIA 34 - TEX 45 MIA 35
🟢 Pre: OU 33 OSU 28 - OU 48 OSU 34

Re: RIVALS 24-25

The 1st half against Oklahoma may be one of the worst offensive halfs we've had, ever. Especially the 1st quarter. Pretty sure we threw 3 picks in that half. Offense started to get going after the 60 yd pass to Worthy tho. Defense really won us the game imo. It could've got real ugly in the 1st half with how bad the offense was playing. Overall its a nice win but it really doesn't matter tbh. We'll see Oklahoma again, in the Big 12 championship game and if we lose that game then who cares if we won this game.
