People keep saying that the speculation was harmless but the stats dont back that up. Going back to March 1, 16 infractions/warnings have been issued related to JM16. Thats over four separate threads. Compare that to 4 in Madden's entire forum and 11 in the Show (which just released a new game which always causes a spike in infractions).

Now before you argue that those were because of the new rules in JM16 threads, the stats dont back that up either. Only 3 of the 16 were because of the new rules and all of those were warnings (no one was banned). 9 were either because of trolling or personal attacks. Thats WAY too many infractions for threads alone (not a forum) and WAY too much work for the unpaid mods to have to moderate. Especially when we dont have confirmation that the game is coming out any time soon.

Also how people arent comparing the games. You can compare games when you have facts about the games or two completed games. I can compare Madden 15 to NFL 2k5 because I can play both games. I can even start making comparisons to Madden 16 next month when videos and features are finally released.

The only thing we know about JM16 is it will have dynamic sidelines (which we havent seen), dynamic weather (which we havent seen) and its a football game. Also there wasnt a single warning related to anyone comparing the two games based on info we have. There are plenty of comments in those threads with people comparing the two screenshots to Madden 15 and not one person received a warning.

What we wont allow is comparisons based on speculation alone and thats what we were seeing alot of. Or outright bashing of the other game.

Anyway, way too much trolling and personal attacks for a game that hasnt been confirmed yet and resources here would be better served in other areas than moderating a thread for an unconfirmed game.
