As much as I want a college football game in the market. I don't see them reaching that goal for a unlicensed college game. So far less than 8% of goal and I think the deadline is next May. They would need big financial backing from professional athletes willing to invest in the game.

player model would be more impressive if they had him geared up in pads, uniform etc. On top of that, its not a TRUE player model. It's a rendering by a graphic designer to show their "vision" for the game.

Once again, its something being pitched that isn't true. Just like they pitched "investors" who haven't actually given a dime yet, they pitch a "player model" that has not actually been created by someone working on MAKING A GAME.

Couldn't agree more. As a software architect by day, hobbyist game developer by night; I never understood individuals that present an idea for a game and begin approaching the public with said idea - with just 3d models (stadiums and players in this case) and no game foundation built. No AI, No game structure, or anything. I can throw some 3d models together and present an awesome looking football game to everyone, however, it means nothing without the base built and ready to accept the 3d models.

Big Ant Studios will be the co-developer, announced on twitter.

Edit: The total cost for the game will be 5 million dollars, but Big Ant Studios will fund half of that. So if everything somehow goes right (like a 1 in a billion chance lol) then the game will actually be decent.

This is a little upsetting. As much as I would love for a new college football game to come out. Big Ant was supposed to do a new dirt racing game but couldn't find the funding for it and now they are doing this?

I'm very doubtful about it.

Just having player models not even suited and even if there were stadium graphics really means nothing at this point. An idea pitch really gives me no real hope.

Still skeptical, but hearing Big Ant Studio actually having a part in the process gives me greater hope considering Big Ant have releases some legitimate sports titles (e.g. Rugby League Live 4, 3 and 2, etc.)
