You have to tell us the story on how you got red cards for 2 keepers!

I wonder if that has ever happened in real life, and how awesome the ensuing brawl must have been.

The first 1 was probably a red as i got hit on the counter attack, the striker was 1 on 1 with my keeper, Diego Alves attempted a sliding tackle outside the box and although he got the ball he went straight through the attacker to get it and was last man so fair enough (BTW Beckham had to go in nets for the free kick that followed and pulled of a fantastic save). The second red was a disgrace the oppenents player shoots and the ball goes wide however his momentum takes him colliding into Guaita and once again the ref reaches into his pocket and produces a red. My striker Jonas played the last 10 mins in nets although lucky for me he never really had any saves to make.

I've seen 2 goalkeepers being subsituted once due to injuries but not red cards

Another game another defeat for Valencia which will keep them at the bottom of La Liga for another week atleast. Valencia captain Soldado had the following to say after the 90 minutes "Today was another game we had total control, we looked good going forward, looked comfortable at the back and then we give them 1 chance and they take it."

Barcelona finally lose!

After 12 wins and 1 draw from their first 13 games Barcelona came undone when they travelled to Getafe on Saturday night. The league leaders dominated the game but could only score the 1 goal which resulted in them losing 2-1. With title rivals Real Madrid also winning Barca’s lead at the top has been cut from 4 points to just 1.

Di Natale suffers bad training injury

Reports coming from Valencia are telling us that £20M summer signing Di Natale has suffered a bad injury during a training session. The Italian suffered a Anterior Cruciate Ligament which will be keeping him out for atleast 4 months. This leaves Valencia with only 3 strikers in their squad! A horrible season has just got worse for the Spanish side...

Valencia's problems are far from solved due to this result however ending their horrible losing streak can do them no harm at all. After an even first half Espanyol dominated the second and should have scored several times but were denied by the awesome Diego Alves. With Real Betis next in the league can Valencia build on this result?

Real Betis will not know how they have won that game. Valencia dominated from the kick off until the half time whistle and should have been atleast 3 infront by the break however somehow Betis had managed tie it. For some reason though the away team never turned up in the second half and Betis improved to go on and record a 3-1 victory.

I am going to have to be realistic now after a horrible start i no longer believe i can make it into a Champions League spot. However i believe that Athletic Bilbao are not as strong as the 5 teams above them and i would not expect them to be as good in the 2nd half of the season as they have been in 1st so my goal now is to sneak into 6th positon. The middle of the table is so close. 3 wins in a row can take me into 11th position so i refuse to panic.......yet

At last Valencia got a much needed win tonight at the Mestalla Stadium as they beat big spenders Malaga 1-0. The win is Valencia's first in 9 games and moves them upto 19th place in the league. Malaga had new striker Hernandez upfront having signed from Manchester United in the summer but he failed to have any real impact on the match. Valencia now have 3 weeks off until their next match against Villareal and they will also have the chance to bring in players during the transfer window before that game.
