Thanks! Yeah, pretty exciting to bring home the world cup, not necessarily the most realistic result, but I always find that the national teams seem to be a lot easier to play against in my experience.

The new signings should be quality, if the next update is any indication we are going to need our signings to produce because the board is going to be breathing down my neck.

What a start to the season. The signing of Grenier is really going to to pay dividends on set-pieces with a big strong lad like Carrol in there. How are the signings around the EPL for the big-name clubs?

Yeah, it's interesting on Grenier. His technical stats are so incredible (80-90+ in almost everything) so on set pieces and corners he is immense playing the ball into Big AC. But then he doesn't have a ton of pace at all (mid-60s) which I love for midfield and attackers to use to play on the counter, which is why guys like Jarvis, Lacazette, and Ravel are so successful in the system I play so we shall have to wait and see how the move really pans out.

As for EPL signings, I hate to leave a cliff hanger but the next episode has transfer deadline day and there are some huge moves for BPL clubs going forward which will be fun to see. Last season Man City were really sellers, but this year I noticed everyone brought at least one big name in so it should be interesting going forward.

Season 2, Episode 8: Running Rampant Across BPL

In this episode we wrap up the transfer window while facing off with BPL sides Crystal Palace and Stoke City, as well as closing out the second leg of our Europa League qualifying tie.

3 victories, not too shabby of a start. Looks like you're getting a good challenge from the teams - they're just not finishing. Love the Gatt signing, too bad for Carroll and Lacazette though!

Thanks! Definitely the kind of start we were looking for, so the team is looking good. Though I am worried about depth issues should the injury bug bite us, especially in attack and at center back.

P.S. Your sliders go into effect in the next gameplay episode, with basically everything as you set it. The only changes I made were speed from 1/1 to 20/20 and I dropped line height to 50/50.

I was going to mention how often is Danny Ings going to get to play? I think he's a fantastic signing. How long is Gatt out? Man, you do have some upcoming difficult decisions soon. Lacazette hurts a bit - does this mean more time for Nolan; or someone else?

Thanks for checking out the sliders, man. No obligation to keep them if it gets too easy/hard - I can't wait for the next update eitherway - keep up the incredible work!

No problem at all, I actually really enjoy them, I think the higher pass speed is the big key.

I think if Carroll and Lacazette stay healthy then they will feature primarily in the BPL, with Ings getting a lot of run outs in cup and Europa games. Obviously, fatigue and injuries and things like that will play a role.

With Lacazette and all the injuries, I think it more just constitutes a formation switch to a 4-2-3-1 since we have plenty of midfielders with a lot of talent, I think that best suits the team to play Grenier behind a striker (Ings) and then let Jarvis and Ravel try to work some magic from out wide.
