AEW Presents: FROM THE ASHES
Live on IPPV
After a brief video package recapping the companies history to this point, a camera pans around the arena. It's a raucous crowd of hardcore pro wrestling fans, rabid and ready to see some action. WEW is back from the ashes, now rebranded as AEW, but still ready to put on the same revolutionary great wrestling show.
We're greeted by the commentary team of Jim Ross and Mike Tenay who quickly run down the card. Without wasting any more time they throw the broadcast back to the ring where the ring announcer is prepared to introduce the competitors for our first matchup, an 8 man battle royal.

Match #1 - 8 Man Battle Royal - Big Ca$$ vs. Brian Cage vs. PCO vs. Walter vs. Kongo Kong vs. Eli Drake vs. Fenix vs. Dave Mastiff
- Fenix is eliminated by Mastiff
- PCO is eliminated by Big Ca$$, the crowd boos big time at this
- Cage uses Kongo Kongs own momentum against him and eliminates him
- Cage eliminates Ca$$
- Drake immediately sneaks up behind Cage and eliminates him
- Walter and Mastiff are going at it, but Mastiff eventually is able to toss Walter over. A throwback to a rivalry from season 1.
- Drake and Mastiff are the final 2. They have a back and forth for a while, but Mastiff is eventually able to clothesline Drake over the top and to the floor.
Mastiff wins by elimination
Mastiff celebrates. The crowd isn't all that happy about this, but Mastiff was heavily pushed season one and it appears that will continue.

Backstage Segment -
Eddie Edwards is taping up in his locker room when he's approached by Davey Richards.
Richards: You ready to finally put this behind you.
Edwards: I've been waiting for this for months now, he's gonna get everything he has coming to him
Richards: And after it's over, we go out, celebrate, and then the path begins to becoming AEW Tag Team Champions.
Edwards smiles and nods in agreement. Richards gives him a couple pats on the shoulder and walks off. Edwards ends his rivalry with Austin Aries tonight in a No DQ match.

Match #2 - Pac vs. Nick Nemeth
- Nemeth has a brand new look, tights and boots with flashy rainbow tassles and a "NNN" logo standing for "The Natural Nic Nemeth"
- Pac enters to a huge ovation.
- The bell rings and Pac wastes no time coming right at Nemeth. He hits some leg kicks and ducks a clothesline, going again to three leg kicks, the third one knocks Nemeth off his feet.
- Nemeth gets up to one knee and is immediately floored by a shining wizard by Pac. Pac attempts a pinfall and gets an early 2.
- Pac stays on Nemeth, but Nemeth fights back with some shots to the gut, then pick up Neville for a backbreaker over his knee.
- Nemeth seems to realize the size advantage he's at now and starts to take advantage, picking up Pac and throwing him around.
- The match spill to the outside where Nemeth is tossing Pac around, picking him up and slamming him into the steel barricade.
- Pac fights back with a dropkick followed by a hurricanrana on the outside.
- Pac sends Nemeth back into the ring, then hits a big springboard 450 splash into the ring. Cover, 1-2... kickout.
- Pac and Nemeth are brawling in the corner. Nemeth hits a superkick to the gut of Pac, followed by a right hand that turns him around and a Zig Zag! Cover by Nemeth, but Pac kicks out at 2 and a half.
- Nemeth lines up Pac and tunes up the band. He goes for a superkick, but Pac dodges it and hits a reverse frankensteiner.
- Pac goes up to the top rope, Black Arrow! 1-2-3!
Pac wins by pinfall
The crowd explodes! They wanted the win for Pac badly! Pac celebrates a hard fought win. Nemeth starts to comes to, and he appears to be extremely disappointed with his performance here tonight. The camera shows Nemeth walking off angrily with Pac celebrating in the background.

Match #3 - No DQ - Eddie Edwards vs. Austin Aries
- The bell rings and both men immediately run to the middle of the ring and start exchanging punches.
- Edwards backs Aries up to the corner and starts raining punches to the head. He then irish whips Aries hard over the top rope.
- Edwards is fired up! He goes outside to continue beating down Aries, but Aries has a kendo stick. He delivers a shot to the gut and multiple hits after.
- Aries throws Edwards back into the ring and goes back under to look for a weapon. He pulls out a chair, but is immediately hit with a suicide dive by Edwards!
- Edwards throws Aries into the ring and grabs a table. He brings the table into the ring and sets it up.
- Aries cuts off Edwards with some punches and a back and forth slugfest breaks out. Edwards backs Aries to the table and sets him up on it.
- Edwards goes up to the top rope and goes for a splash through the table, but Aries moves! Edwards goes crashing though the table. Both mean are laid out for some time.
- Aries gets up and brings Edwards to his feet, but Edwards gets a burst of Adrenaline and starts laying in forearms. Edwards loads up a big right when Aries pops up with some kind of item, but before it can be used Edwards kicks it out of his hands. Aries then immediately low blows Edwards!
- Aries hits the rolling five arm and knocks Edwards out cold. 1-2-3.
Aries wins by pinfall
The despicable Aries somehow manages to come off as a desperate cheater in a No DQ. Davey Richards runs down to the ring to check on his tag partner and Aries scurries off with a huge smirk on his face. The item that Edwards kicked out of Aries hands is revealed to be pepper spray, which is what Aries used in the street fight against Edwards many months ago.

Backstage Segment -
A three way split screen is shown, on the top the tag champions Sabre and Sabin are stretching. On the lower left Cody is hyping up The Young Bucks. On the lower right, The Briscoe Brothers are throwing punches at the wall and smacking themselves in the head to get their blood pumping.

Match #4 - Tag Team Championships - Sabre & Sabin © vs. The Young Bucks vs. The Briscoe Brothers
- The crowd is hot for The Bucks and The Briscoe Brothers, but they don't seem too fond of Sabre & Sabin.
- It's chaos as soon as the bell rings. Mark Briscoe and Nick Jackson brawl to the outside.
- Sabre & Sabin start teaming up back and forth against Matt Jackson and Jay Briscoe who are both in the ring. The crowd is booing them.
- Jay Briscoe runs in and takes everyone out. Mark gets up too and The Briscoes take over.
- Sabre is sent to the outside, so Sabin sneaks out to wait on him to get back up. This gets some boos.
- The Bucks and the Briscoes go at it for a while tornado style. Sabre and Sabin run in, but Sabin immediately gets a superkick from Nick Jackson for his troubles and rolls out. Sabre sends Mark Briscoe out of the ring and Jay Briscoe hits a backdrop on Matt Jackson. Matt rolls out.
- It's now a triple threat between Jay Sabre and Nick temporarily. The go at it for a while until Matt Jackson hops up on the top rope and takes out Jay with a missle dropkick. The Bucks hit a double gutbuster on Sabre, then pose.
- Sabin and Mark Briscoe run in and take out a Buck each. Sabin then immediately surprised Mark with a school boy, 1-2-3!
Sabre & Sabin win by pinfall
Somehow, someway, Sabin just stole that win. The boos have turned to full on vitriol from the crowd aimed at Sabre & Sabin, still tag team champions.

Match #5 - Junior Elite Championship - Jay Lethal © vs. Will Ospreay
- Both men shake hands and lock up. Lethal backs up Ospreay into the corner and the ref has to reset. This repeats with Ospreay on Lethal, then Lethal on Ospreay again.
- The two men bring it to the ground and start to chain wrestle back and forth. Lethal gets the advantage here.
- Ospreay is able to get going with a lighting fast strike combo, but Lethal catches a roundhouse and drops Ospreay with a lariat.
- Lethal picks up Ospreay and hits some suplexes. He goes for a cover but it's a near fall.
- Lethal irish whips Ospreay and leapfrogs him, Ospreay stops himself on the rebound off the ropes. Lethal runs in and gets dropped by an enziguri.
- Ospreay goes to the middle rope and hits a moonsault. He then goes up to the top rope and goes for an exploding 450, but Lethal gets the knees up.
- Lethal goes for Lethal Injecting off the ropes, but Ospreay drops low and kicks Lethal in the head mid handspring. Lethal rolls out.
- Ospreay hits an insane front flip dive to the outside taking out Lethal. A "this is awesome" chant breaks out.
- Ospreay rolls Lethal in and goes up top again. Lethal gets up however and tosses Ospreay off the top.
- Opsreay gets up and turns around in a daze. Lethal hits a massive swinging STO. 1-2-3!
Lethal wins by pinfall
Lethal is handed his championship and celebrates. The crowd is really happy with that one, an amazing performance by both men.

Backstage Segment -
Dave Mastiff is being interviewed. He's asked what winning the battle royal earlier tonight means to him.
Mastiff: Winning the battle royal was par for the course for me here in AEW. My plan was not only to win the battle royal, it was to use that win to put myself back on the map and get momentum going, because Dave Mastiff is gonna be a big, big problem.

Match #6 - Intercontinental Championship - Matt Riddle © vs. Kenny Omega
- The two men stand head to head, the crowd is clearly on the side of Kenny Omega, knowing that Riddle will be leaving AEW soon.
- The bell rings and Riddle runs in and immediately floors Omega with a massive knee to the face. Omega gets back up and receives another quick knee.
- Riddle tosses Omega out of the ring and backs him up into the apron back first. He throws Omega back in. Near fall.
- Omega catches Riddle with a roundhouse kick followed by a dropkick. He tosses Riddle to the corner and starts delivering a flurry of kicks.
- Omega hits a snap suplex on Riddle and gets a one count.
- Riddle tosses Omega over the top rope onto the apron, Riddle goes after Omega on the apron, but receives a forearm to the face. Omega goes up top and hits a flying knee on a staggered Riddle.
- Omega takes Riddle to the corner, but his grapple attempt gets reversed. Riddle now has Omega cornered. He gets him up top and sets up for a superplex.
- Riddle hits a MASSIVE superplex to the outside of the ring!
- Riddle eventually recovers. He tosses Omega back into the ring and goes for a tombstone, but Omega reverses it into a tombstone of his own. Pinfall, but it’s only a 2.
- Omega sets up and hits the electric chair german suplex. Bridge into a pinfall, but again only a 2.
- Now frustrated, Omega goes up top for a splash of some sort. He leaps, but Riddle moves. Omega rolls out and turns around only to be rolled into a submission hold by Riddle!
- Omega is struggling, and eventually he is able to escape with some elbows to the head.
- Riddle and Omega stagger to their feet. Omega gets Riddle up and hits the Omega Driver! 1-2-3!
Kenny Omega wins by pinfall
Can you say match of the night! Omega and Riddle beat the hell out of each other and in the end, Omega walks out a two time Intercontinental Champion. Omega holds the title high above his head.

Backstage Segment -
Jay Lethal is backstage when he runs across P.J Black
Black: Nicely done out there champ. It’s about time….
Lethal: What do you mean “about time”
Black: Well it’s about time you defended that title by pinning someone. You won it in a ladder match, defended in a ladder match, defended in a table match. I’m just not that impressed.
Lethal: Well if you’re not that impressed we can handle this next week.
Black: Title on the line?
Lethal: Title on the line
Black smirks and walks off

Match #7 - Kazuchika Okada © vs. Pentagon Jr.
- Okada has a confident swagger to him. Pentagon is as serious as it gets here tonight.
- It’s a big fight feel here. The crowd is split down the middle.
- The match starts with lock ups with both men backing each other into the corner. It’s a slow start as both men chain wrestle.
- Pentagon gets the better of Okada and Okada rolls out and stalls a bit.
- Okada re-enters. He takes Pentagon down and wrenches on his head with a sleeper hold. Pentagon gets up and elbows out of it. Pentagon runs the ropes and gets met with a big boot by Okada.
- Okada hits a snap mare to a big boot on a seated Pentagon. Pin attempt but it’s only a one.
- Okada is in firm control of the matchup. He goes for a double axe handle from the middle rope, but Pentagon cuts him off with a punch to the gut. Pentagon clotheslines Okada over the top rope.
- Pentagon goes up to the top rope and hits a massive cross body from the top rope down to the floor on the outside! The crowd pops. After the huge high risk move pays off, Pentagon has made up some ground.
- Pentagon throws Okada in and hits a tope on Okada. Pin, near fall.
- Pentagon takes Okada’s arm, wraps it up and snaps it back. Okada writhes in pain. It was an attempt to snap Okadas arm!
- Pentagon stays on the arm of Okada with a multitude of holds and slams targeting the arm.
- Okada executes a comeback sequence that takes Pentagon down and brings the match to a standstill.
- Both men to their feet, a back and forth “boo” “yeah” punch and kick exchange breaks out, but both men get an equal mix of boos and cheers.
- Okada turns Pentagon with a right haymaker, grabs his arm and hits a Rainmaker! 1-2… kick out!
- Okada picks up Pentagon to go for a second haymaker, but Pentagon reverses. Pentagon gets Okada down and once again hits that arm breaking move. Cover by Pentagon, but Okada kicks out.
- Okada hits a series of knife edge chops backing Pentagon into the corner. Okada runs at Pentagon and gets met with a boot to the head in the corner.
- Pentagon quickly hops up to the middle rope, jump and lands with Okada positioned between his legs, CANADIAN DESTROYER!
- Pin by Pentagon, 1-2…3! Pentagon has done it! Pentagon wins!
Pentagon Jr. wins by Pinfall
Pentagon Jr. has done the unthinkable. No one saw this coming. Okada has finally been dethroned! Pentagon celebrates with his championship.
Fenix comes down to the ring to join the celebration. Confetti starts to fall in the arena. The camera shows Okada sitting leaned against the ring apron, sweaty and disheveled. He wipes his face off.
Pentagon continues to celebrate and hold his title high as the show goes off the air. NEW AEW World Champion!
