Well, Brasier and Ort shouldn't be on MLB teams, and that's why we lost today.

Kluber didn't have his command, but it was 39 degrees coming from spring in Florida. We'll see how starts 2-5 go.

Offense was solid, I am very excited to see this weird rag-tag group work this season.

I went back and watched it; by the rule, that was on him. He has to be in the box and ready to hit by 8 seconds…he never was ready to hit, even though he was in the box.

That's a crazy stat and there's three other players who have done it. I would have thought he'd be the only one.

I see some things haven't changed for my Jays -- questionable bullpen and Bichette just can't play shortstop.

A red Sox player taking forever to get ready for a pitch?

The spirit of Dustin Pedroia lives on!

But like stated, Devers was in the box, he wasn't ready to hit. He was still looking down waving his bat around.

Maybe a misinterpretation of the rules? He thought he had to be in the box by 8, but ready once the pitcher was?

The actual rule is that you must be in the box looking at the pitcher with 8 seconds left even if not in a full stance. Devers didn't even do so until there was 6 seconds left.

Contreras injured by a ball in the dirt.

Don't think I've seen a catcher injured like that and a team changes catchers in the middle of an at bat.

Jays first go up 3-0, later 4-1, then 5-3
Cards tie it 5-5
Cards take 6-5 lead
Jays tie it 6-6
Cards take 7-6 lead
Jays take 8-7 lead
