From everything I’ve read, AA trying to free up room on 40 man roster for FA signings. None of these players factored into Braves’ plans going forward…still, good get for the White Sox for a guy who posted 1.5+ WHIP/-1.0 WAR last year.

That's the feeling I get as well.

Yes, these are mainly non-tender candidates, but also he is trading away these players for specific assets. Braves will make a splash.

I read this as Ian Anderson at first; Nick Anderson’s loss last year didn’t seem like much, but I think it hurt the bullpen in the 2nd half.
