More importantly, the Marlins are only 16.5 out of it. I still have hope in the fish. Comparatively, the AL has 5 teams that are more games out of the WC race than the worst NL team, 4 teams are at least 20 games out in the AL, Detroit is 30 games out.

I wish the Marlins hadn't had that 10-31 start to the year, the entire NL may be within 11 games of the WC if that weren't the case.

And the Braves just hit into a triple play. Bunch of losers.

Luke Jackson...he thinks his slider is what Mo’s cutter was. It’s not...you have to throw something else for strikes.

Stroman should be happy now. He's definitely a guy who pitches based on emotions. When he's really motivated, he can be lights out. That 15-16 Jays playoff run is an example of that. As is the WBC. He's one of the guys who thrives in those meaningful games.

Re: 8/5 - 8/18 Game Discussion Thread

At one point this game was 7-0 and I was legitimately concerned. With 3 outs to go it was 11-3.

It is now 11-7. Wtf is wrong with this pen

Edit - finally

Agreed. He started off slow the first couple of games, but he's been good since then. Not what I expected, but I'll take it.

Schwarber is playing better since he was removed from the leadoff spot.

Castellanos has 6 doubles already.

Strop is back from the DL.

Maybe the team is primed to get hot.
