I hate to criticize small ball, but I did not understand that whole sequence. Heredia has been one of the best hitters on the team, and you're bunting with him? Ok, I guess it puts the go ahead run on 3rd with 1 out with a good pinch hitter and Acuna as the next 2 up.

But then you try stealing 3rd with a left handed batter up and Acuna on deck?

Dansby stealing there makes literally zero sense at all. If you're fast enough to think you can steal third, you're fast enough to score from 2nd on any hit that finds outfield grass. The risk was 100x higher than the reward.

This dumb team found a way to only score 1 run in that entire half inning when the ball kept trying to go their way.

It’s going to be tough for the Mets to survive this one after their bullpen pitched 9 innings last night and 6 the night before. May is pitching for the third day in a row and he’s looked shaky the last few outings
