Re: 2023 Offseason Thread

Jalen McDaniels to the Raptors on a 2 year 9.3M deal.

It felt like he wasn't going to return to the Sixers. But they have a dire need a wing now. That seems like a deal they could have easily matched. With Niang gone, they only have Harris and Tucker as playable wing/forward. They pretty much have to take a trade that gives them depth

It must be hard being optimistic as a Philly Fan if you can’t be excited about your team re-signing it’s a Franchise Player, especially when you’re a club that already struggles to find one in the first place, lol

Rockets traded K.J Martin to clippers for some future 2nds

Grizzles did a sign and trade to give Houston Brooks and they also received another former late 1st round pick Josh Christopher. So Houston hoarding all those draft picks turned out to be a waste as they gave most of them away today

I feel like one of these days, a conversation needs to be had on the word “efficiency” because it’s definition/meaning has gotten twisted around so much to the point where if you’re not “efficient” enough to the Nerds, you’re pretty much a bum.

Is Darryl Morey back in Houston?

This is what I don't want the Spurs to do, but I get that their owner is ready for them to be "competitive" and not a doormat.

They better hope that Sengun or Green takes a big leap soon.

I'm use to the hurt by now lol. We're a bad season away from Embiid potentially asking out lol. Then it's Process 2.0. But, I'm going to stay committed lol. I try to be realistic about the Sixers. I'm don't fanboy, but I'm also not one of those miserable fans who need to let the team go. I like Maxey and think he has All-Star potential, but if he's a piece to get a player like Dame, then I hope he flourishes elsewhere lol. Embiid likely has a 2-3 year window left in his prime, so now is when you want to go all in if you can.

Any day now the rumors should start about Murray going back to y’all in FA next year. Even if it’s not realistic and just driven by media. Because Atlanta can’t legally offer him enough to sign him and he will want the $ Fred got.
