Had to scroll up and see who was calling for a Lakers gentleman’s sweep because of a mid game adjustment

It’s something the Nuggets will absolutely have to prepare and account for though. That doesn’t make them a bad team.

It’s what the NBA Playoffs are about, the chess match

Monster game for Joker though, dude is unbelievable

What's up with the Indiana Jones commercial that's hyping Phoenix vs. LA for the Western Conference Finals?

LOL, Denver can't get no respect. But they earned some tonite.

Gordon just needs to practice that corner 3… that’s the counter, imo.

Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson were acting like that adjustment is "gonna be something to build off of" for the Lakers or something to that effect.

It might work in spurts, but no way in hell can Hachimura guard Jokic one-on-one throughout this series and it works. Joker will figure out how to score over him and/or Hachimura's legs will be dead - hurting his offensive output - taking on a much bigger opponent.

Practice? Especially at this time of the year lol

It's just not the most effective shot for him to take all game long compared to a KCP. That's why you'll see him shoot about 3 of them.

They might need to bring a committee approach. Even Bama should get a swing at it. I think mixing up the defenders is a good thing. But it's obvious when AD is pulled away from the basket. It opens the lane for the other team. That's why the last 2 series teams have won those games. AD figured out. Lakers are still around. I think we should give both teams a chance. It was only one game.

I’ll say this: it’s a good thing Jokic plays in Denver and not LA or even Boston, lol.

We/Most people love him now but if he played on either of those 2 teams, he would get talked up even more and that **** would get insufferable, lol

Edit: Also, in regards to LA putting Rui on Jokic in the 2nd half, couldn’t Denver just put Porter Jr. at the 4 and pull AD out to the 3pt line? Because if that’s the case, that Rui adjustment won’t look as good if AD can’t stay in the paint.

But then of course you still have the obvious unanswered question: Who guards Lebron? But these are the games where every little move/adjustment matters! Looking forward to seeing those in Game 2.

I feel fairly confident that Denver will not have Gordon in the dunker spot if that’s the way LA defends it.

Think I’d try just playing Gordon at the top of the arc and have the shooters in the corners to make it more difficult for Davis to help but if that doesn’t work, they may just have to pull Gordon off the floor like you suggested. I’m sure they’d very much not like to resort to that for the sake of having him out there defending Lebron lol.
