Shaq @ 16?

I believe I saw Charlie Villanueva...what in the world?

Crazy stupid list.

Edit: We need Alex Brady.

Charlie Villanueva, OJ Mayo, and maybe Andrew Bynum are the only head-scratchers to me. Anyone can name a ton of players that get left off, but just like those Dwyer top 10 lists, most of us agree with the same people but in different orders. So it's dubious because we don't know the criteria, but it's not terrible.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Bynum has been the best center in NBA this year.

The name that stands out to me is Shane Battier. Please someone explain to me why he is on the list. Am I missing something?

He should probably be higher if this is a list of championship caliber players. He is an elite wing defender and routinely shuts down terrific scorers by hounding them all over the court and sticking a hand in their face on virtually every shot. His team defense is extroidanary as are his boxouts on the boards.

Offensively, Battier can shoot triples with great accuracy along the baseline but only when his feet are set. Sometimes he even scores from the pivot. He is a smart passer as well and he doesn't force shots.

This is a guy who can elevate the level of play around him and he is an inspirational leader. You are indeed missing out on one of the great defenders in the game.

8.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.2 apg at 41% FG shooting and 34% 3 point shooting with ~1 block/steal per game is not top 50. Sorry, you got to have some offense. Or at least be efficient.
