Re: Free Agency Predictions and Discussion for the 13/14 Season

I'm expecting Milwaukee to make a push for Josh Smith and or Andre Iguodala if they let Jennings/Ellis/Redick walk. Hammond insists on the Bucks being good enough to be a first round playoff exit every year if that, and god knows Milwaukee was going hard after Josh Smith at the deadline and have a huge need at SF that he or Iguodala could address. I also have some gut instinct that the Pistons might make a run at Iguodala.

Edit: Regarding some of the rest...

CP3: I see him resigning with the Clippers, though I've heard there's some discontent between he and Griffin/Jordan.
Jennings: I don't think anyone will give him a big offer, but maybe I'm just biased because as a Bucks fan, I don't think he deserves one. I think there's a very good chance Milwaukee matches whatever offer he receives to bring him back.
Monta Ellis: I wish him the best. He had a rough season shooting the ball, but he's become a much better passer since coming to Milwaukee. I think he could be a good fit with a team like San Antonio that might be able to convince him to be more of a team player.
Tyreke: No idea what happens to him, but I'm super curious to see how it works out. I'm still not sure what position he is, and I think he might be best suited as a guy off the bench that can take over for stretches.
JR Smith: Don't see any way the Knicks bring him back. Someone will overpay him.
Bynum: For their sake, I hope the 76ers bring him back and he gets healthy, but who knows.

Al Jefferson I'd be totally fine with. Then Again it would be bitter sweet because that would mean the end of KG and Pierce.

I just might quit if they Sign Josh Smith.

My prediction is the Pistons overpay another guy and set the franchise back some more.

I believe the Pelicans have the $$ to offer a max contract unless things have changed since the end of last offseason, but I don't really think they'll blow the $$ on anyone unless CP3 wants to return.

I guess the wild card for them is how they handle Eric Gordon and the draft. Do they believe in Eric? Monty believes he can play well next season after getting back into the flow this season but there still seems to be some animosity between them. They could go just about anywhere in the draft besides the PF spot

Eric is going to be somewhere else this summer, New Orleans seemed pretty keen on shopping him.. I think they will trade him for a high first rounder and a good role player. Saves cap room and it works out better for the future as well.

I am extremely excited for the Hawks' offseason. ERA the Hawks don't care much for Monta, if they did Smith would have finished the season a Buck. Teague only walks if Paul signs with Atlanta and there isn't much doubt in my mind Korver will be back.

Hawks will probably target Paul, Iguodala, Pekovic and Millsap. If the Hawks play their cards right they can sign Paul, Iggy and Pekovic.

Really? I had heard that the Hawks wanted Ellis, but the Bucks knew Ellis and Smith wanted to play together, so they tried to keep Ellis while still acquiring Smith, and the Hawks ended up pulling out as a result.

Tiago Splitter will be a free agent this offseason, too. Hopefully, the Spurs can lock him up.

Manu Ginobili is technically a free agent, too, though I think it's pretty much assured that he will resign with the Spurs for 2-3 years (player option for the last year, probably), ensuring he'll stay a Spur until he retires.
