I dont think they have to win a title, but they have to at least show that there gonna be a threat to win one. Meaning a finals appearance or at least a trip to the wcf that goes 7 games and goes down the very last shot in game 7. cuz tbh under scott brooks, the thunder werent a true contender to me. At least not with the way the west is currently constructed, maybe in 2012 or 13 they were, but they werent the last couple of seasons, imo of course.

Alvin Gentry or Mike Malone, I guess.

Sloan isn't walking through that door now that he's back in Utah helping them out. No one should touch D'Antoni, Woodson or McMillan.

Mark Jackson is probably not right for that team. He would be right if it was only Westbrook. I don't see Holberg coaching Oklahoma City.

But Gentry is an assistant on the Warriors. There will be teams that look to him after the credit the staff has received in helping Kerr turn that team into legit title contenders. And Mike Malone should have never been replaced in Sacramento.

lol well obviously thats not what presti was telling brooks, or is telling future coaches. Im just making the point, that for any future coach to make a difference before durant hits fa, these are in and around the criteria they'd have to meet. Basically im saying is they have to prove that they can sniff a championship at least in year one, to make a brooks firing worth it.

lol funny listening to the media make all these excuses for scott brooks. When will they realize that first, hes wasnt fired for this bad season, it was because of a checklist of bad coaching decisions hes made, second the injury crap is old. yea they get a pass for this year and 2013, but last year they had no excuse, ibaka came back in that spurs series, they lost because pop adjusted and negated ibakas shot blocking ability by sticking diaw at the four. yea okc lost game 1 and 2 because he was hurt, but you could argue that pop wouldve adjusted earlier if ibaka was healthy, and the spurs still wouldve won in 6. secondly for the simple fact that brooks built his defense around one player(ibaka) is a flaw in and of itself. Sure okc might drop off a little defensively when ibaka isnt on the floor, but to fall from top 3(which is where they were this season) to 15(which is where they finished) is inexcusable.
