Yes it’s summer league but damn.
Second agree it's early. But it shows how the spacing on the floor really takes shape for some of these guys.

I know what everyone keeps thinking. Put on weight. But I truly don't believe that. He's height came in at 7-1. I think he'll be fine.

The Thunder got a really great thing going for them. Josh Giddey looked great! Trust what's going on here.

Don't forget Jalen Williams

Rooting like hell for Swider. Skeptical he has enough athleticism to hang in the NBA but he’s a great shooter and plays with a lot of heart.

He’s done all the right things to gain weight at this point. Just seems like it might not be a huge possibility for him to pack on a lot of weight. I think he’ll be fine anyways honestly. I think he’s wrongly been framed as a low floor high ceiling guy when I think he’s actually a high floor guy and I question the ceiling a bit.

“I’m not sold on him being a star,” said an NBA assistant sitting courtside for Holmgren’s debut. “He’s obviously an excellent shooter, skilled but he is so physically weak. He can’t get by his defender and he realized that early and settled for threes the rest of game. He’s so thin in hips and legs that he makes [teammate] Poku [Aleksej Pokuševski] look like he has thick legs. I don’t think he’ll ever fill out. He will need to make difficult shots this season to have a good year because he settles for jumpers and can’t play inside. He was able to use his length to block shots on drivers tonight but NBA guys will just get into his body. He has a long way to go.”

Re: 2022 Summer League

The guy got literally picked on the Draft 2 weeks ago, let's give him at least a year before we get on him about his physique.

On the other hand, how are those offseason weight programs going for Zion, Luka and Harden...

Re: 2022 Summer League

The same coach critiquing him is probably the same one gassing up Wenbanyama despite his “frame” also.

Anyway, it’s obvious that’s it’s going to take some time for Holmgren to fill his frame but folks don’t have patience for players and want to let off the weight takes right away.
