The 9ers will probably be looking to move up again in the 1st round and grab two 1st rounders like the last draft. They have a ton of picks:

1st-11th overall pick.

2nd-43rd overall pick.

3rd-75th overall pick.

3rd(Compensation for Julian Peterson/Seattle)

4th(Brandon Lloyd/Washington)-92nd overall pick.

4th-105th overall pick

4th-(Kevan Barlow/New York Jets)

4th/5th(Compensation for Andre Carter/Washington)

5th-139th overall pick.

6th-171th overall pick.

Hmm juicy pickings, especially with how much cap space the 9ers have!!

I'm thinking linebacker, simply because they aren't going to pay Briggs what he wants. Although, that offensive line is getting old and they don't have much depth there.

He could be fine for at least another year in Oakland. I think they will go with Quinn for the face of the franchise if they don't trade the pick though.

The Skins made a mistake by bringing in Carter to play exclusively on the line (just like bringing in Archaletta and asking him to spend most of his time in pass coverage). I think you're dead on with that pick, Carter or not.

Ravens will most definitely not be taking a QB in the first round. Unlike most of the world, they're happy with Boller behind McNair. He's better than many seem to think but that's fine, keeps his price down. They may draft a QB, maybe even on the first day, but no way in the first round. They always draft best available in the 1st round anyway so my guess is it'll be a lineman, offensive or defensive.

I'm thinking CB or HB or they will trade the pick to get extra 2nd and 3rd rounder for the Ravens.

How do you know about those compensation picks for Peterson and Andre Carter? I didn't think the NFL announced those things yet. Its not just based on their contracts either. Its based on playing time and performance and its tied into the team's overall free agent signings/losses from the previous year.

As of now I am hoping the Texans take LaRon Landry. A lot can change between now and April though. He has always been a playmaker but I don't know where his measurables will stack up.

Its funny how a great player will be high on team's draft boards and then the combine will take over and people will make a mistake in downgrading/upgrading guys by their numbers. The first and major criteria should be how a guy plays. Combine numbers are nice to look at to confirm how well he might matchup in the NFL or not but it seems general managers put too much emphasis on them.
