Firemen or Police are NOT told to lead with your head... it's a ridiculous comparison you make... when you think of all the PAL.. high school... college... that take this risk... you analogy shrinks by contrast...

Sorry dude... your wrong...!!!

PS... it does happen a lot... you just don't hear about it...

Who ****ing cares who puts their life at risk more? My God, how petty are some of these arguments?

There's a man who 36 hours ago, was able to walk and enjoy life and now may not be able to do that. That's really all that matters. Thoughts and prayers should be with him and his family.

Yes I have, in HS. I played TE and MLB. I was expected to make a lot of hits. I was also always told never to lead with the top of your head, never to spear. You tackled with your face or shoulder. That is taught all the way up. If there is a single coach out there that tells their players to lead with their helmet and not facemask the guy should be drawn and quartered.

Yea I was always tought to "put your facemask on the ball".

My thoughts and prayers are with Kevin Everett and his family.

Alright, this argument is pointless for this kind of thread. Bottomline, this was an unfortunate accident and to blame Everret for a hit that happens ALL THE TIME is a bit tasteless to me.
