Dungy had john lynch in tampa and as good as lynch was, bob sanders is even better. Last year he was in and out of the lineup due to injury but him coming back for the playoffs made a big difference. Of course it wasn’t just him, but his presence got others to raise their game it seems. And look at this year, Indy was #3 overall defense despite having defensive guys injured throughout the season with 3 of the 4 starting DL guys being out.

Congrats to bob and hope he tears it up in the playoffs =D

Congratuations to Bob Sanders. He's a game changer. We all saw that last year when he was in the lineup and when he was out of the lineup.

But on the topic of Easley, man, never heard of the guy. I like to think I have a pretty good idea of the history of football but I've never even heard the name. Watched that NFL Films piece on YouTube and he does look like he was a heck of a player for the short time he played. Unselfish, vicious, skilled. He looked like he was it all.

I'm a big colts fan, but to those who don't regularly see them play it's what makes their games so enjoyable to watch. On offense everyone knows how cool the payton no huddle wayne clark harrison combo is, but on deffense Bob Sanders is really exciting to watch. I remember watching what must have been a monday night game maybe last year and John Madden in amazmet just said 'WOW' on the air becaus Sanders went horizontal missle style through a tiny hole in the o-line/d-line clash and obliterated the runner behind the line. -- it was incredible.

I love watching Bob Sanders play. He's my favorite non Saint in the NFL.

Being a WR during the lates 70's in the Pac10 must have been a hoot with guys like Dennis Smith, Ronnie Lott and Easley running around.

He's one of mine too. I just wish that he could stay healthy.

He plays bigger than his body.

It's nice to see a good, all around defensive player get this award, rather than another guy who piles up a ton of sacks.
