Are you serious? Cartwright hasn't returned a punt in his career. Kick and punt returning aren't the same thing at all. The majority of teams use different returners for each.

As for the acquisition, it seems pretty good, especially since it's only one year.

I think some people are having the Andrew Bynum fallacy with this. Nobody is planning on MeAngelo coming in and locking down a corner spot. If everyone is healthy, he'll only play on long passing situations. With Smoot, Rogers, and Springs alternating injuries every other week, he's 500,000 times better than Torrance.

Think of it like Reggie Bush. As an every down back, he's not going to get it done. But if you've already got a few quality players, he can be worth while. We're not going to use Hall as a shutdown corner. He's not going to be a 3 time all pro. But if he can prevent 1 or 2 passes from being completed each game, he's a worthwhile pick up.

Stanford Routt is going to be a busy corner for the rest of the year.

The pessimist in me says the Raiders won't have Aso next season, so who do we have left besides Routt. I'm under the impression that the rookie Tyvon Branch was moved to safety?

Can't say, haven't watched the Raiders play since their game vs the Chargers. But Aso WONT be back next season, which is sad. They give a scrub like Hall all that money only to release him and they have the nerve to franchise tag Aso who DESERVES a big contract.

So does that mean Al spends another pick on a CB running in the low 4.3s?

I take what I said back, I thought we had like 4 picks. According to ProSportsTransactions, we have all but the 5th round pick which we basically gave to the Falcons.
