I wouldn't be surprised if you see Stafford get drafted #1 and all of a sudden the lions make "style" changes to their uniforms.

Been there and done that "1st round QB savior" thing with Joey Harrington after a 2-14 season. No way will that be repeated again. Especially when there isn't a true can't miss, clear-cut-above-the-rest franchise QB at the top of this draft, like Cebby mentioned.

None of these marketing gimmicks will work this time around to lure in Lions fans who were regulars at going to Ford Field. Only wins will bring the people in the stands. Show some proven positive results with victories, and the people will come.

I see where your coming from. Say they do draft a QB and he isn't Harrington, there would be more pressure on that guy than maybe any draft pick in the past 20 years.

So, the pressure could really cripple whoever it may be and we may never see what he could have been

Re: Kiper's first Mock.

I'd be happy with Davis for the Saints. CB isn't a huge need as people make it out to be, but I'll take it.

Re: Kiper's first Mock.

Why the hell are Lion fans in outrage for them taking a QB with their pick?

I assume you missed my post.

Doesn't matter if it's Peyton Manning's mind with John Elway's arm and Tom Brady's poise, he's gonna die back there with the offensive line they have.

Because you don't win by drafting a likely mediocre QB when you can draft a likely franchise lineman.

Drafting Stafford is a fantasy football/Madden move.

Re: Kiper's first Mock.

Draft Stafford/Sanchez at #1 and get your lineman at #20.

Really not that hard if you ask me.

Or be smart and draft Andre Smith with the #1 and another lineman or defensive player with #20. That would improve the team far more than drafting a quarterback who's almost certain to be labeled a bust in 3 years behind that offensive line.
