Re: Seymour traded

On paper the raider defense look like a top 10 but man if you guys stink it up. Top 10 pick for the pats. And once again AL making the raiders look like idiots once more. What is worst being Lions, Raiders , or Bengals fan?

The Raiders aren't doing ish in the next 4 years. Patriots will definitely have a top 5-7 pick in the 2011 draft. Once again, FMMFL.

I'd say being a Lions fan. lol. At least Raiders have won a Super Bowl and have had success. The Lions haven't had much success...ever. They had the years of Barry Sanders and that's about it. I'm sure Raiders fans still have some pride.

Re: Seymour traded

I rather be a Lions fan than a Raiders fan at this point.

uh no. you honestly think that raiders are going to let him walk after this year. franchise tag him and you are good to go. the raiders don't have anyone else they need to use it on seeing as how nmandi is locked up.

Re: Seymour traded

When healthy Richard Seymour is one of the top football players in the NFL. His problem he has been a 2 gap de in a 3-4 system. He has been taking on and beating guard/tackle combo blocks his whole career but since he doesn't have double digit sacks he doesn't get the love he deserves. The pats lost their best defensive player in this trade.

Could it be that the raiders got the better end of this deal?

Teams don't give up their 2nd round picks too often. The 2nd round pick is first round talent without the gig money. There are tons of teams every year that can't trade down from their high 1st round pick.
