chargers are good tho so who really knows its just a fun guess
I'm not going to deny that this is the NFL we are talking about and like the saying goes "any given Sunday".

However, the issue with your post is that your are ignoring a couple of key facts:

1. What about Antonio Gates? The big issue with Gates this season is that he is fully healthy (as opposed to last season). Vincent Jackson has looked incredible all preseason and with him at the WR position, Gates in the middle of the field, and the two backs threatening out of the backfield, it's going to be hard for defenses to key too much on any one given position.

2. Did you watch Rivers this preseason? I hate to jinx him tonight, but he looked the best of any QB in the preseason. His throws were sharp and on time and he showed great timing with his WR for it being so early in the season.

3. The Chargers defensive front seven has so much talented depth that I don't know what defenses are going to be able to contain them for four full quarters. The Raiders offensive line is going to have their hands full tonight.

4. Speaking of offensive lines, that is the one question mark for the Chargers. How will they play in comparison to their subpar season as a group last year? The had flashes of playing well as a unit in the preseason, but they were very inconsistent. That's the only area I see that the Raiders can possibly exploit.

And there it is, Mood. You make an excuse about it being the first or only national game or whatever, but you're still going to watch it, it still sold out, and it's still fans of other teams talking about and watching the Raiders. What's hard to understand about that?

It's a primetime game, that's the only reason anyone would watch it. If I watch it at all it will only be parts of it and only because I like football, not because the Raiders are on. The NFL had to grant an extension to make sure it sold out, I wouldn't be proud of my team or it's fans if that happened with the Saints on Monday Night.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

You think thats bad. The guy I played had Brees (36 pts), Carlson (21 pts), and Phi D (39 pts). WTF? I had the second most points scored this week in my league and I had to play this guy? Anyways. Phil needs 53 points for me to win tonight. I'm thinking 8 tds and 500+ yds. Lame.

You're demonstrating exactly how relevant we are, when we're down, every team's fans want to take a shot at us, ESPN runs stories about how "awful" we are and how horribly managed (in their opinion) that we are, and it's funny, if we weren't relevant, no one would care. Kind of like how the Lions are run by the worst football family in America in the Fords, and no one really hears about them. But since Mr. Davis is our owner, we have people teeing off on the team for old grudges and slights. So yeah, until all these other fans decide to keep Oakland's name out of their mouth, we're relevant. If people are talking about us, and they always are, we're relevant.
This statement isn't so much against you but I think its funny how Raider fans ALWAYS bring up championships when talking smack. Especially if the other persons team hasn't won one. I always like to rub in Charger wins against the Raiders to my Raider lovers that I work with and this is always the comeback. "Where's your championship."

Of course I always come back with "How old were you when they last won one?" Most of the time they were between not even born yet or like 6. Half of them don't even know when they won last (1983). It's just funny.

Re: Monday Night Football: SD @ OAK

From what im reading im actually seeing raiders and upset in the same sentence, reasonable but unlikely at best, all though i think 31 - 30 Oakland, we could pull off a nenever.
