That's what I'm saying though PW about Urrutia. He was FORCED to come out for the draft. Steve Kragthorpe was such a bad football coach that staying another year would have killed any hopes he had at the NFL. Kragthorpe was the WRs coach his first year here, and look at how Urrutia did, he plummeted off the face of the Earth. He was a rising star in NCAAF. The man was just a machine who seldom dropped a pass. One year later he's dropping them left and right, and pretty much fails to make a spectacular play all year.

There isn't a single player on Louisville's team between 2006-2008 that didn't regress or stay static under Steve Kragthorpe. The only kid he lucked into was Victor Anderson who was amazing as a freshman, but Kragthorpe "fixed" him too his Sophomore year.

Louisville fan's hatred for Kragthorpe probably rivals the hatred of anyone in country this decade. The guy didn't do a single thing he promised or was paid to do. Not one.

Have to agree there. John Fox's own loyalties and ignorance's have cost the Carolina Panthers some losing seasons.

Dwayne Jarret is a perfect example of how potentially good players have suffered under him. Look at his numbers game by game last year and you'll find a player who should have been on the field more.

As the #4 WR Dwayne Jarret caught 11 more passes than slot WR Kenny Moore and had 150 more yards. Now, that doesn't meant that either had spectacular years, quite the contrary. Jarret had #4 WR stats for the year and Kenny Moore had... well he shouldn't have even been on the team. You can chalk that up to the fact that the Panthers seldom go 3+ WRs wide, our shaky QB play or whatever, but that is what happened last year.

However, the fact remains that when he was called upon Dwayne Jarret did come through pretty well. The role of Dwayne Jarret isn't to be that #1 WR, but be the #2 or even the slot guy. Last year proved that he was capable of fulfilling those roles when he was put into the game. The guy simply needs more opportunities to showcase that he can out-Moose Moose and lead the Panthers forward by taking pressure of Smitty.

I hear ya. Great points. I know Harry Douglas was also drafted, but he probably could have been drafted higher. Now, I see why Michael Bush left early too. Glad that Krag is outta there. Now let's see how Strong develops players in the coming years.
