Here's the ESPN link with the accusations of Holmes trying to pay her off and the cop intimidating her: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/s...=ESPNHeadlines

The officer on the scene said the young lady was smiling and rubbing Holmes face.

As a Raiders' fan, I just have one question...

Where is Chuck Noll to lead a crusade against this criminal element in the National Football League?

No grudge, hell, I wasn't born until 1982, how could I have a grudge. I was just trying to be funny.

I'd take Tatum and Atkinson as my safeties any day. Good old school football.

Here's more. The police officers dropped the case and have a WRITTEN statement from the prosecutor stating she doesn't want to press charges. I know you mentioned this earlier, but if we're looking at this intelligently, that statement makes anything else she tries to say now, null and void in a court of law.

We can all speculate as to what happened or if Holmes paid her off (wouldn't be the first or last NFL star to do something like this), but it looks like the matter is over and done with. It's kind of like Ray Lewis with me. I'm sure there's more to that incident that we will never know. I've discussed it with Raven fans on another site who have told me what happened that night as if they were there and are sure Ray was a completely innocent bystander. Doesn't matter either way because in the end, the courts stated what they did and that's the end of it...regardless of what I think Ray might have done (and I don't believe he killed anyone for the record).

Ahhh.... hate is such a strong term Will. Can't say I hate the Ravens...it's only a sport afterall! I save my hate for other things. The Government/Congress/Senate/Pres go on that list for me right now. Did my wife and my taxes this weekend and I'm none too happy at what we owe and that we got screwed out of the long-time homebuyers credit. That's for another venue though.

As for Porter, he's no longer a Steeler and I don't think there are any Steeler fans that want him! That guy was definitely a raging headcase while he was here. I remember all the times shaking my head while watching a game in which Porter did something stupid.
