For the triple option it doesn't make a bad running back good but it does inflate the numbers a bit when your team runs the majority of the time.
You are correct. The original story that said he failed a drug test was misleading and irresponsible journalism. The writer actually tied Dwyer's drug test to the USC player's (McCoy) drug test. Those were COMPLETELY different circumstances. Dwyer has been taking ADD meds since he was 14; his agent and he reported this to the NFL (as required) months before his tests so it wasn't like he "failed" his test. The NFL was already aware because he notifed them when he was supposed to. The way it was reported still pisses me off to this day.

Figured Lefty would start over Dixon, but I bet it will be a fun training camp battle for the team. Wonder if the Steelers draft a QB next year and cut/trade Rofls.

We may see Randle El in the wildcat a bit, but I doubt it will be much more than that.

I'd put Ward back there.. he won't make any dumb mistakes.

What do you Steelers fans think of Dwyer? Do you see him getting a lot of meaningful snaps or even, dare I say it, beating out Mendenhall for the starting job?

I'm pulling for him. I wanna get a jersey if he sees meaningful snaps.

I'm far from a steelers fan but I'd say it's a virtual lock he'll get significant touches, unless he's a complete zero in camp. Mendenhall's the starter but he's still young, and clearly isn't completely consistent just yet. With Leftwich or Dixon starting to begin the season, they'll be running like crazy, and there's no way they throw all those carries at Mendenhall. The only other competition is Morris. He should have every chance in the world.

I see it as him and Mendenhall both getting a fair share of carries, with Mendenhall getting more and Moore still being put in on 3rd down and in special situations, such as the no huddle because of his pass catching ability.

Pretty much how I see it. As I said earlier, Dwyer may end up being the steal of the 2010 draft.
