Re: Jamarcus Russell Released

Just like Carr, I think the guy is wrecked goods at this point.

Even when Carr DID get a Oline, he managed to play poorly. Matt came in the year after and did much better. Of course David got another shot in Carolina and proved he was wrecked goods.

He'll get another shot, I agree with that. But he's going to need some good coaching to turn it around.

I think he should just give up. That's what he should do.

Re: Jamarcus Russell Released

lol, from Buffalo Rumblings:

Quote:
Of course, folks will insist that his talents make him worthy of a look from other NFL teams, and, of course, the Buffalo Bills have already entered the discussion. From Aaron Wilson at the National Football Post:
Quote:
It's unclear where Russell will land, but the Buffalo Bills would seem like a logical destination.
No. No, I'm sorry. There are hundreds of logical destinations for JaMarcus Russell; the vast majority of them are all-you-can-eat buffets. None of them are NFL franchises.
Is this even for real? That can't be a legitimate opinion, Mr. Wilson. There's a difference between not having a franchise quarterback and being so desperate that you'd actually consider signing a lazy, overhyped quarterback that adds absolutely nothing of value to an NFL franchise. I get why it's imperative that Buffalo is linked to every single available quarterback under the age of 65; that doesn't make it even remotely "logical."

Re: Jamarcus Russell Released

It was always weird watching Jamarcus because he wouldn't just miss his target, he'd throw it 10 yards off the mark... consistently. I don't remember NFL QB's doing that very much at all. Guys at that level usually are right around their target, but Jamarcus just missed the area he's supposed to throw to. I'm assuming some of that has to do with timing and communication between his WR, but it still says a lot.

He had more than enough opportunity to succeed in my eyes. Most teams wouldn't give a guy failing that bad that many games (opportunities) to turn things around. He does have a rocket arm...

Re: Jamarcus Russell Released

We've all played Madden, a rocket arm with poor accuracy means rocket-like interceptions, LOL
