Saints won't make it to the SB but they'll still be a solid team. I don't think the defense can come up with as many turnovers as they did last year and that'll be the big difference. The offense will still be prolific, but it's very rare that a defense without big name talent can sustain that kind of turnover ratio from year to year.
The front seven might not have talent that anyone knows about, outside of Will Smith and Vilma, but the secondary is one of the best in the league.

Raiders? lol. Is everyone just choosing the lousiest team to look smart? :P

I'd say Detroit is definitely a possible surprise team. I think if they were in the NFC West they could win the division and make the playoffs.

It'll surprise and excite me if the Bills win 5 games, so I guess they're a surprise team too!

Re: Surprise Teams

I think the Lions have a very real chance of making a big splash. I know it's a tough division, but I really like Matt Stafford and I just have a vibe about them. I always love rooting for the underdogs. Admittedly they could also go 1-15 what fun would it be if the NFL was predictable?

The Raiders have a capable QB to go with a very good running game and a very good defense. I don't think it's out of the relam of possibility that they win 7-9 games.

My other pick is the Seahawks. Hasselbeck, Washington, a healthy defense with a good coach. I believe that team SHOULD win the NFC West. Whether they do or not is entirely upon Carrol, who I think will be successful this time around.

I'd love to pick the Browns, but the best I see them going is 8-8, 7-9 realistically and probably 6-10. Should be improved, but they won't surprise unless Jake Delhomme finds the fountain of youth.

They upgraded the d-line with Wilkerson and Brown, Sedrick Ellis is a great DT when he's healthy so I would think he wouldn't miss as many games as last year. Combine the D-line, with an overly aggresive coordinator and one of the top secondarys in the league that is the perfect recipe for turnovers. The offense will some how be better then last year with a healthy Lance Moore and Reggie Bush, addition of Jimmy Graham.

My suprise pick is the Chiefs idk i just got a feeling
