It troubles me more considering Austin & Williams haven't looked good this preseason at all. This puts a lot of pressure on those youngsters to step up and contribute right away and takes away a very good security blanket for Romo. Crayton may not be #1 material, but put him up against a #3 & #4 DB and he wins that matchup all day.

On top of that, you give an equally talented team in the Chargers - that the Cowboys simply have not been able to beat - an extra offensive weapon. This also gives the Chargers the ability to seek good trade value for Jackson, something they had no leverage with before.
whats up greazy.

I like the deal. Crayton was being paid a lot of money to be the 4th or 5th option. Of course I would have dumped Roy instead, but thats just me.

LoL Yeah, I would have gladly cut Roy Williams over Crayton any day. The Cowboys are really going to miss him.

Can't believe TJ got cut today. I'm sure there will be plenty of teams that look his way - especially if he is willing to sign for a reasonable deal - but I really wish he could go to a team that needs help rebuilding. I'd love to see him sign with the Browns, Rams, Lions, etc, but who knows.

Great move for Dallas to finally ship out Crayton. I don't get why peope thinkg he was some amazing receiver. He was average at everything, including punt returns. Had less then 40 receptions 3/4 years. He biggest impact was dropping the touchdown pass in the giants playoff game and then stopping on that route that would have been a TD in that same game.

Good move for both parties. A 7th rounder is better then cutting him, they know have an extra draft pick to package in a trade or something.

Pretty shocked TJ got cut, but I never really liked him on Seattle to begin with. Think it was a bad fit. Teams are going to be fighting over him.

I'm surprised we cut Hartwig. Could have probably used that depth on our line. I guess this means Pouncey is now the man already.

If Roy does not produce he better be gone at the end of the season. He make bad receivers look good. I think TJ will sign somewhere soon too.

Re: Official Training Camp and Preseason Thread

Baltimore just signed T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a one year deal.

My biggest thing about this is, with Stallworth injured, we still don't have a deep thread. But Boldin, Mason, and Housh is a damn good trio.

I really don't understand what the Vikings were doing not going after him.

Re: Official Training Camp and Preseason Thread

They picked up Greg Camerillo from the Dolphins earlier, who's basically a younger and drama free version of TJ, in which he's strictly a possession WR so I can understand why they didn't get him although I thought he was heading there as well.
