He does the same kind of thing to Antonio Gates. And every other legitimate #1 target the opposing team has. That's his philosophy...you take away the other teams best threat and force the quarterback to beat you with his other receivers, even if that means giving up the underneath coverage and letting teams march down the field, as long as the defense holds them to a FG in the red zone.
OK, it wasn't just the NE game. Every coach in the league gameplans for him. They just so happened to play NE in their last game. I just don't think you can suddenly call Moss "average".

Oh, I certainly agree with you in the fact that, even Belichick who had coached him for a few weeks this season, teams still view him as a legitimate #1 WR threat and will gameplan for him if they play.

I just don't think Belichick has ever **** his pants over anything other than cheating around with some females and being caught.

Randy Moss is a cancer to my fantasy football team. I have Wes Welker and Percy Harvin, both of whom benefited greatly from having Moss on the outside. Now they'll both suck and I'll get nowhere near the playoffs.

LOL, agreed. That and when they knocked on his door looking for those video tapes.

Re: Minnesota waives Randy Moss

Don't see how the Patriots would want him back. Them dumping him in the middle of the year shows what they think of him, a few mediocre weeks of play, plus another team dumping him and admitting they wasted a 3rd round pick would change their mind.

I don't see a lot of teams claiming him, so many red flags, and I don't think many teams want to pay his salary and add him just to block other teams. I'm sure somebody will put in a claim though.

Watch Percy Harvin's numbers plummet. Ask Welker how it's going for him since he left.
I'm guessing Welker would say "Just fine, thanks--we're 3-0".

Ain't that the truth.

To piggyback this comment off another thread about Randy Moss being considered a "Patriot" - I'd consider Welker a "Patriot" before I thought about Moss based on the attitude and personality. He fits the mold better.

Re: Randy Moss Traded To Minnesota

Moss leaving the Pats was a pure business move. The Pats is such a smart organization. I wouldn't be surprise if Moss ended a Pat in the future.
