That's the thing though. Do you think that a team like SD who is struggling a little on D would give this guy up if he had anything left? It's not like they have a guy behind him who is a stud that warrants this move.

That's just Skins fans being Skins fans. The same thing they criticize Snyder for they are 100% for. They see a big name and immediately want him. Happened with Vincent Jackson earlier this year and now Merriman.

Yet on this board, people are OK with just saying the titans are cheap, they cheapshot Merriman because he hit young(or didnt depending on who you ask), and it was a plan, etc. Thats not the case and none of us were in the huddle. The guy did something illegal, and like you said was flagged and fined, etc. That doesnt mean the dude went into the play and said "im going to get Merriman on the next play!"
Whether it was planned or not makes no difference it's still a cheap shot. Made by a team with a well deserved reputation for such plays.

As far as it being planned. If you want to believe not one but two offensive lineman going after his knee late and away from the ball was purely coincidental fine. The fact it happened right after Young ran in to him then rolled around on the ground with a fake injury makes any claim of coincidence more dubious.

Not sure why it's not considered a cheapshot if they didn't huddle up and draw up a master plan to do it.

Either one would make sense in terms of location, 3-4 scheme and need. He'd be leaned on more on the Skins which may or may not be a good thing depending on where he actually is at this point when he's 100%. I have a feeling he won't go to either. He seemed very comfortable out in SD and the DMV is the polar opposite of SD. Unless pickings are slim, I doubt he's coming home.

3. This article is a good article explaining that. Also, BK was correct, USC already had a good front 7.

4. He went from 190 lbs as a Sr. in HS to 230 on draft day. That is a 40 lb gain from HS to college in 4 yr. Our son's HS soccer coach told the kids he bulked up 40 lbs in college from just lifting weights. Also, did you watch the Bear game? He barely got a whiff of Cutler. He's not beasting every snap.

So, are you telling everyone it's not possible without PED's to bulk up lifting weights and gaining 40 lbs from HS to college?
Anything is possible...however there is some huge red flags.

Also so what if hes on the juice, all hes hurting is himself and potentially the packers when he signs a long term contract he can't fulfill.

I don't see the huge red flags by gaining 40 lbs of muscle from hs to college. Sure, anything is possible, but it's not fact, either. If you want to throw him under the PEDS bus without any proven facts, that's your prerogative.

Plus, I don't think he would let down his dad or uncle down who had long careers in the NFL, don't you agree?

I'm sure Thompson has done his homework. He's already had one 1st round bust, I don't think he wants another one hanging above his head.

Wow. I can see your a give people the benefit of the doubt type of guy.

Take Walter Payton for example.... steroid user. He gets a pass, may or may not have contributed to his liver problems.

And, wow, I can see you are a guilt by association type of guy.

Really, Payton a steroid user? The dude was crying for a liver in his news conference and people still want to label him a steroid user. Try reading this article where the liver disease he had affects 3 in 100,000 people, according to his doctor, and tell me he still was a steroid user. Not related to alcohol, steroids, hepatitis or immune deficiency.
