For some reason though, I just assumed that AJ Smith had something to do with him not playing much this year.
Nah he's had nagging minor injury after nagging minor injury. He held out of camp, but to be honest he's simply never been the same after the cheapshot game.

He's what, 27?

If he takes a year off to rehab and get fully healthy I think he could be a solid player again. Not DPOTY caliber, but starting level.

It's a shame what happened to him. He was such a dominating force in the league. Hopefully he can do what he has to do to get back on the field and be productive wherever he goes.

I could see him on the Lions as a DE or situational rusher for the Jets.

People can say he has not same since the cheapshot hit, but I say he has not Bern the same since he got busted taking illegal supplement. When he came back he was not the same motor never stops player.

Now a lot of that falls on him. He played on it after he got hurt. Didn't get it repaired in the offseason, tried to play on it, made it worse, and is now where he is.

Good luck to him wherever he goes.
You do carry a large portion of your gains after a cycle. Long Term weakening of tendons though are ticking time bomb.

Best players on that defense were Jamal Williams and Donnie Edwards.

Innocent till proven guilty.

Let's put it this way, I will be surprised if Matthews juices, especially since his former teammate was caught.

The Packers could use Merriman if healthy.

Edit- I get it, a Bear fan, ok, par for the course.
1. I am not a bears fan. I love football and really don't have a team. I lean toward rooting for the packers.

2. The fact his teammate got caught, implicates him more then if his teammate didnt get caught.

3. Clay Matthews couldn't get on the field until his senior year at USC now he's a trainwreck pro bowler in the NFL.

4. Just watch the guy play. He never gets tired and he abuses Tackles.

There is no chance in hell he's clean.
