Is Moss one of those decade long Patriots, like Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Willie McGinest, Adam Vinatieri, etc...no, but he still made his mark in the short time he was there.
One of my favorite safeties, shame his stuck in Seattle.

Where are the Pats fans? Come out of the woodwork and rejoyce! lol
Everyone predicted doom and gloom for this team this year and come Sunday they will be tied for or perhaps be in sole possession of the league best 6 - 1 record apon beating the Vikings.

Favre is injured, so if he plays he will hurt the team not being to plant his foot and throw, and we know what happens when he does that.

Tavaris hasnt played in so long I think he will also hurt the offense thats grown so accustomed to Favre, not to mention Harvin who has never seen game action with him as the QB.

I'm excited to see the Patriots defense come together so quickly
They get better and better every game they play.

Next year will all those high round picks..
All the talent this team will have will make them scary.

Re: Week 8: Vikings @ Patriots

Gotta hand it to the Pats, they draft so well from a depth standpoint, and a talent standpoint, too. It's taken them a few seasons, but their re-commitment to the defense is for the better. Already paying off now. Lets not forget their excellent trading, either. Shipping off Seymour for a first from Oakland is an amazing. That's probably a top 10 pick right there. Plus acquiring Welker/Moss.

Brady looks wayyyy better than he did last season. I wouldn't even call him an elite QB last season. All he needs is a burner and a couple of possession guys, and he's set. I honestly think they wanted to get away from that "high powered offense" identity they were getting. That's not what won them the SB's.

I just read through every post and no one said that.

I didn't say it didn't mean anything. I don't think you're understanding. I was responding to elicoleman who asked what kind of reception will Moss get by Pats fans. It is my opinion that he won't get any kind of reception, neither cheers or boos, because he's not one of theirs or a big part of their history. He wasn't drafted by them. He was there for a mere 3 seasons. He did some good things in his short tenure at NE and what he did there will certainly be remembered(mainly because of the 2007 season), but it doesn't make him a Patriot nor does it make him a big part of their history(which goes back to my point of why I don't think he'll get any type of reception).

Every fan at Gillette will have an opinion and a reaction for Randy, mostly because everything has happened recently. He may not have the history, but he was just here 3 weeks ago.

I expect a very loud mixture of cheers and some boos mixed in.

I like the youth and upside on the defense, but there are still a ton of holes. Opposing QBs are completing 70% of their passes, which by the way is the NFL record for an individual QB. So our defense turns every QB into Drew Brees, 2009. That's not good.

They've done a great job stopping the run the past 2 weeks against Ray Rice and Ryan Mathews and i'm expecting them to do a decent job on AP. I just have no faith in their pass defense whether it's a crippled Favre or Tavaris Jackson at QB.

The pass rush is terrible (1 sack on 3rd downs this year when you KNOW the other team is passing). Last week it looked like Belichick didn't even WANT to get pressure on the QB. He rushed 3 for most of the game. 3rd down defense is the worst in the league and it needs to get better.

If there is any type of reception, I would expect more boo's than cheer's. You do have a point about him being there just 3 weeks ago.

Revis what are you talking about I am saying if a player breaks records and help you win a superbowl like Sanders did for the 49ers they are going to be a big part of the history. In fact a lot of guys said Sanders was the main reason the 49ers won it all. Because he helped them stop the Cowboys WR. Moss had some of the best WR numbers as Pat. He should be remembered for a while. That is all I am saying.
