This isn't an argument for Reed, but I think you're talking more about discussions of who's better right now. I think it can go either way, but also remember that Reed was a big hitter too before the neck injury and was also insane returning punts, blocking fgs, etc. Even when talking about INTs, he doesn't just pick them off, he takes them to the house.

Do they have to have been in their primes in the 00s or just played in them?

I went by primes only. That's why guys like Marshall Faulk, Deion Sanders and Isaac Bruce didn't make the cut for me.
