Eh not really he was used right, but he dropped passes, fumbled the ball, and got hurt almost seemingly every game. You're not going to run a guy more up the middle if he's fumbling and getting hurt.

Sproles had his best season and one could argue better then Bush so i'm not worried about the loss of Bush at all. 87 att 603yds 2TDs, 86 rec 710yds 7TDs(no fumbles, few drops) and was a special teams ace as it helped him set the record for most all purpose yards in a season

Before bush left the Saints was defended to death on OS. Oh this is going to be his breakout year etc etc. Well he finally had his breakout year...as a Dolphin. I never thought I would see bush get 1000yrds in the NFL. Kudos to him.

So what happened to him in Miami? He magically fixed everything that was wrong with him in NO overnight? They misused him or didnt groom him like the second pick that he was.

Sproles is irrelevant to the topic of NO failing to get the best out of Reggie Bush.

I think it was as much Reggie's fault as it was Nolas. Seemed like this yr Bush played with a chip on his shoulder.

Re: Let's Talk About Players In General

You could tell. Bush was running like how he did in the Saints playoff run, every game this season. He was going AFTER defenders, not going around them. He was a running back, not a glorified slot receiver/athlete.

He ran over my Bills a few times, but I've got to say, I was happy with him finding his groove.

Re: Let's Talk About Players In General

This year he was decisive in his runs and managed to stay healthy. The Saints used him right to his abilities when he was in NO due to what Bush gave them, in Miami he gave the Phins something else and finally learned how to run the football in the NFL.

I think the Saints had the right gameplan for Bush when he first came into the league. All of the injuries (more to McAllister than him even) I think forced them to put him in positions he wasn't ready for, and that they hadn't planned on getting him ready for at the time. Then his injuries stunted his growth there too with the added responsibility. I think it just is what it is, I don't think NO handled him wrong and don't think he was ready to be what he was this year until this year... just happy he's finally looking better.

Reggie Bush had success in Miami because he's now the best weapon on his team. No RB in New Orleans is going to be able to justify taking passing attempts away from Drew Brees.
