From that Giants game and the 1st half of the Cardinals game, Rex has gotten progressively worse or in the very least, hasn't done enough to put the team in the best position to win. That being said, I still see him starting next week but with a very, VERY short leash where if the Offense isn't doing anything after 2 or 3 drives, make the switch. But those 2 knew this beforehand in that this is what you get with Rex. You either get inconsistency or you get just really bad play from him.

I agree that Little Shanahan calls plays out there like he still has Schuab out there but I'm not going to point the finger at him like anybody else anytime they lose just like I'm not going to let the Defense off the hook for letting Eagles' backup O-Line basically dominate the LOS like they did opening up huge cutback lanes for McCoy to just run thru.

Win or lose the offensive play calling has been questionable at best. Say what you want about the yards McCoy got. The last 45 minutes of the game the defense held Philly to 6 points and even gave the offense the ball at the Philly 20 in the 3rd quarter only to have the offense give it back two plays later.

IMO the defense did about all they could. While getting little to no help from the offense for large stretches of the game.

I was moving yesterday so I missed most of the second half, but Rex is lucky to still be alive in DC. I just...I don't understand his reasoning for some of his throws. I mean, the interceptions he throws are almost always horrible passes. Its like he single-handedly takes the team out of the game.

But yet they still don't make the KEY stops and that's been an issue since 05.

Did the Offense help them out at all? No they didn't but when the Defense had a chance to get the ball back for the Offense, they couldn't do it. Everybody knew McCoy was going to get the ball and you STILL couldn't make a stop, even when 2 of the plays were the SAME ones and they were all to the left. And this isn't something that JUST started happening.

The Offense and Grossman definitely get the blame, but the Defense isn't off the hook either.

The offense needs to do more in the Red Zone than throw INTs and kick FGs. That's been a problem for what 10 years now?

The last series I watched was when the defense got the INT that really changed the momentum and probably would have put the Eagles down, but no Grossman has to waste it and throw a pick.

Defense made mistakes, but I think the offensive struggles outweight whatever the defense did wrong. At least its more obvious.

No, the defense isn't off the hook, but c'mon they did more to "win" this game than the offense did. They made McCoy earn his yards. 28 carries for 126 yards with a long of 21. They made two huge stands inside the redzone. (I would call those KEY stops). You can say if they made a stop on the last possession the skins would've got the ball back, but at the same time why was the offense running plays on the TD drive with no urgency, still huddling up running the play clock down to inside of 8 seconds before each snap? They got the ball with 6:24 left and took their time to score again not really helping the defense. "Here guys we finally scored a TD, know you've been waiting for that now, go get us the ball back!" The defense was on the field for 38 minutes, so I can understand them being tired.

Obviously I'm a skins fan, but really what more could you ask the defense to do?
