That was wild speculation by Scheftler. Nothing substantial happened.

Yep, that was just a segment where Schefter was making random trades that make sense, none of it was supposed to be taken as any more than opinion.

Thx, read that stuff on another forums and thought it was one of those "rumors" and not from Schefter.

The Broncos GM was on the radio this afternoon and he said that they are not actively looking to trade Lloyd, and that they've contacted his representation about a contract extension. He did say that they are listening to any and all offers, but didn't mention a specific player.

Take from that what you want.

It really makes little sense to trade Lloyd at this point.

You have someone who has proven he can make plays and from everything I've read from him the last couple of years he has never seemed unhappy in Denver and always seemed grateful that they gave him another chance after it never worked out with other franchises even though it was McDaniels who offered him that chance.

Who knows, we've seen it too much of it in Denver for me to doubt but new regimes have been quick to try and get rid of pieces of an old regime they don't like despite talent so I won't doubt the rumor. I just have never seen anything from Lloyd that ever made me think we need to get that guy out of here.


Personally I think it would be foolish to get rid of him at this point even for a second rounder, he already saved Tebow on a bad pass against the Chargers. He's a good talent, if he doesn't want to sign at the end of the year, so be it, but keep him around to finish out the year with Tebow at the very least.
