Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers

That was one HELLUVA game. I'm so glad I recorded it. I gotta say that The Niners played with a lot of fire and heart. You could tell they were totally in the moment both offense and defense. After the Saints made those turnovers they played as if they were the team with no experience throughout the 1st half. yes they came back in the 2nd half and played very well offensively but their "balls to the wall" defensive philosophy cost them.

Alex Smith FINALLY showed people that he's more than just the game manager that everyone scoffs at and i'm so happy for Vernon Davis who's had a somewhat up and down career in a lot of ways but to see him make the winning TD catch was a thing of absolute beauty. Jim Harbaugh has this team going in the right direction. It's nice to see a good ol' fashioned football team having success.

GO NINERS!

What a game. Definitely pulling for the Niners to come out of the NFC. The VD/Harbaugh scene was awesome. As whiny as he is, Harbaugh is an outstanding coach and the players love him.

It was still a great season by New Orleans. Too bad that the NFC West owns them. What a rough six day for the State of Louisiana.

All I'm saying is, do we really trust Alex Smith to outplay Drew Brees if needed? I'm not saying it isn't possible, especially since we've seen crazier things (last night). I just don't think if this game is a shootout that the Niners will be able to hang. On the other hand if it's a hard-nosed, defensive battle then obviously that favors San Francisco and their chances of winning.

The 49ers just wanted it more.

And both defenses sucked it up at the end pretty much.
Dude, what armchair Qbs? You mean you, me and the rest of us in this thread? Cause last I check most the "armchair Qbs" you speak of played the game at a professional level and have a right to an opinion like you or I. You don't agree with seating on the ball, but that strategy has won before as well. I respect your opinion, but you're acting like no has ever sat on the ball and kick a field goal to win.

Same here. I'll be pulling for them during the rest of the playoffs. I hope to see a Texas vs 49ers Super Bowl.

Exactly, all I heard from people with Tebows comeback is "oh the defense was playing prevent who couldn't do that." Now we see Alex Smith torch an aggressive 4th quarter D an people are complaining. Either way the offense has to make the plays to win the game or the defense makes the plays to win it.

They won't be able to keep up with you guys. Packers offense is just as good as the Saints minus those 5 turnovers they had today.

Without the 5 turnovers from the Saints, this game is a whole different story.
