do you guys have the 2nd or the 3rd pick in the draft this year? if you guys have the second, and the bolts get hedmen, you guys will be dirty. stamkos, hedmen, and vinny and marty, with mike smith in goal and andrje meszaros coming up....wow, just wow.
Yea man we have some great cor going into next season!

In a non-rude tone:
I don't think you should say that without watching the games. They really played their heart outs and fell way short...

Re: The Lightning Blog

The Lightning were pretty unlucky, but Ranger and Meszaros are probably a decent 2 D-man pairing on many teams (probably the third on teams like Det/Ana/Sjs). Smith is good and with some more experience will probably be a good goaltender.
I like Artyuhkin too. He is pretty underrated.
As for the draft, either way, Tampa will end up with a defenseman. If the Islanders draft Tavares, you'll take Hedman. If the Islanders draft Hedman, Toronto will probably offer something like Kaberle and their 1st rounder for your pick, and will take Tavares. This will happen because Tampa cannot afford another top notch forward (remember Richards?) and Toronto need forwards badly.

Re: The Lightning Blog

hey bolts...

i got an email from the ticket guy from the lightning (i bought some tix through him some time ago and we struck up an email communication back and forth). he said the team is offering season tix with the option of paying for them over 8 months, interest free. my wife is actually allowing me to ponder that one over (LOL!!).

just wish the better seats weren't so darn expensive...

I really like your knowledge.
Ranger may be just a 3rd liner on Anaheim or Detroit, but I think no team would ever put Meszaros on a third line.

His year with Ottawa were great and he had a slow start with us but I think if he can stay healthy he would be great.

Don't forget Lashoff, he's so darn good!

Wow! That's really cool.
Hope you end up getting them, they apparently have some great stuff to offer.

I think my family and I are going to get tix in the last 7 rows ($239). We don't mind sitting far up. You get to see the plays develop. And, as a hockey player, Seeing guys from a greater angle helps me when I'm on the ice.

Re: The Lightning Blog

As much as I like Ramo, know who should like someone who should be backing up Smith?
Jimmy Howard could challenge for minutes but I don't know how he'd get there.
