I don't know if there will be much interest or not, but if there is we can discuss the season in here. Only about 30 days away now

I expect the Gophers to be top 4 in the WCHA and back to the NCAA tournament this year, ending an agonizing drought! Guentzel is back as assistant coach, and we have some interesting talent coming in. I'll be interested in seeing how Ambroz and Rau use their talents at the college level. Budish back after his injury last year will be big, and I think Bjugstad will be one of the top forwards in the WCHA this year.

There are some questions, no doubt, specifically on the blue line. Gone are the days of great Gopher defensemen like Ballard, Goligoski, Leopold, and Vanelli. Hopefully Guentzel being back can restore some of the blue line prowess.

We should be solid between the pipes, as long as Patterson doesn't get hurt.

Any college hockey fans up in here?!?!

I think he graduated 2 years ago, but when he played it was my favorite name in the entire WCHA: Rhett Rakhshani!

Going to be another great season of college hockey!

The Sioux are reloading this year, I'm not too sure what to expect as they lost key players in Frattin and Genoway. Still, I think we're on track for another good year. It'd be nice if UND makes it to the Frozen Four, that they get into the final...that's kind of been something they haven't been able to do for several years now.

I think you know my feelings on the Gophers.

Haha. I'm originally from the UP, so I have a little soft spot for them. I remember as a kid listening to the end of the ridiculous 8-7 triple-overtime game they won over BU in 1991 on the radio coming back from family road trip.

Then Dallas Drake, Billy Pye, another guy from the team came to our year-end team hockey banquet and signed pucks for us. As a 9-year-old it was about the highlight of my life to that point, lol.
