I'm not sure how a team loses a game 4-5 when they outshoot the other team 49-15.

UMD was so unlucky to come away with 0 points this weekend. 6 of 10 Gopher goals were on the PP and two were own goals by the same player. As I suspected, the D looks like it's going to lose some games this year.

Those shot numbers are a little inflated, imo.

UMD shoots at seemingly every opportunity. A bunch of their shots were just dump ins from just inside the blue line, or super wide angle stuff. Shots that are going to get saved 99.9% of the time.

So glad to get a sweep out of this weekend. It was awesome to see our PP clicking, I REALLY like Nate Schmidt quarterbacking that PP unit. Patterson came up big a few times, and we finally got some of that puck luck that has eluded us for the last 3 or 4 years.

4 points on the road against a top half WCHA opponent. Now that's a great weekend

Dare I say it? I think Gopher hockey is back.
