Offseason begins! Draft on Friday, should be fun. I've said it before. If theres one thing NHL has over other leagues its that their draft is the most fun draft of all leagues.

I wonder if we hear any Leafs moves now that Raptors season is officially over. Their trade block contains guys who have July 1st bonuses so we probably dont see deal yet, but anything can happen.

Though Marner wanting to be the highest paid guy in the league it seems like will mess with everything. If some team wants to offer sheet him at 13M+ AAV, you can have him. Give us your 4 first rounders.

Jets done got hoodwinked. I'd be happy had Detroit traded the 6th OVA pick for Trouba, or even expanded the deal to include Ehlers and/or take back Perreault's contract.

That's the downside of trading for player rights; you end up bidding against yourself. Flyers have been aggressive; adding solid vets in Niskanen and Braun to their D and filling their big hole at 2C. I guess the mandate to make the playoffs from the ownership is in.

Besides his rookie year, Maatta had a solid 2017-18 season. If Chicago uses him properly, they picked up a young top 4 D on the cheap.

Next few days should be fun. NHL draft where we always see some big deals. And best part, fans boo Bettman. The time honoured tradition in hockey. Doesn't matter if you cheer for Leafs,Habs,Bruins,Canucks,Vegas, you're booing Bettman. The fact that theres a video on YouTube called Gary Bettman Boo Montage that was posted 10 years ago is so funny.
