I agree, never really got a chance for us. He managed to get us 10 goals this season. Not bad for a bit-part player. His future looks to be away from us as I read Wolves are close to a deal.

Sure, and I don't blame him for wanting to go somewhere that he will start every week. He's 27 and deserves that. We got great value for what was paid and are going to make a profit.

Yeah we are pretty good at making profit on the majority of players we sell on. Did we manage to squeeze anything else out of Barca when Villa signed Coutinho permanently?

One thing is for sure, I am glad that the transfer business is getting done quickly. The Community Shield is being played on July 31st and the PL season kicks off on August 6th/7th due to the World Cup break. Need to get everyone up to speed a bit earlier than normal.

I wouldn't be opposed to signing Christian Eriksen on a free. He has told Brentford he won't be back. I'm sure Spurs would be his first choice as he's already been there and done it. Plus he's likely to be more of a regular in that midfield than in ours.
