two things you can do to get him the ball more.

run him on more drags from the FL or SE (outside WR's on either side of the field)

run him on out routes and smart route them from the FL or SE ...

it's very difficult to be "sim".

There are many different definitions of what sim can be and represent.

Play the game however you want to play.

I cater to people that love Madden and want Tips to improve their game. Part of that crowd is certainly the Tourney Crowd.

Whatever is realistic is fine by me, but make sure control is there.

ya I want total control over the players as well. If everytihng you mentioned is added in (simulation part) than i wouldnt be able to do a lot of things, but I want the option to at least try.

is there a rule that says you cant drop all 11 defenders into hooks.

so, theoretically coaches can have their teams do that.

you can currently do this in madden. my point is that I dont want...

I want a simulation game & I want to have the ability to tell my player to do something.

If he can or can't is predicated upon the simulation aspect of the game.

Maybe he can't make the play...

I use the Miami offensive playbook and work everything off the Gun Flex Wing.

Run first and then look to capitalize off PA for deep completions.

When looking to pass I work off a Gun Spread...

anything thats a glitch (has no counter - blocking FGs - offense can't do anything to prevent the blocked kick - slide protect etc) shouldnt be allowed IMO.

the defense has the same amount of time...

When I play Madden I assume the role of the coach. The adjustments are available via hot routes and audibling to different plays and where I agree with you is that adaptive AI would be an AMAZING...

madden will never be real life because its a game. thats a double edge sword though because while thinking that way will allow more leeway for mistakes and flaws it also prevents progressive growth...
